Dyl's POV:

I walked out of the elevator to check out of the hotel. I froze when I saw Max in the front desk, the memories of last night flooding my head as he turned around, our eyes meeting.

"There we go." I spoke as Charles, Mick, and I helped him lay down in his bed.

"You're good, buddy?" Mick asked concerned and Max nodded with his eyes closed.

I sat down beside him and brushed his hair with my fingers as I saw his eyelashes flutter. I titled my head slightly and smiled unconsciously.

"We'll go get him some water." Mick spoke and I looked up at him. He looked at Charles.

"Yeah." Charles pursed his lips.

"Thank you." I whispered and they walked away. I saw Charles stop, like he wanted to say something but he just sighed and kept walking.

I returned my sight to Max. I stopped brushing his hair with my fingers and he grabbed my hand softly, intertwining our fingers, his touch sending an electric jolt through my whole body.

"Don't leave me." He whispered opening his eyes, his blue eyes meeting mine and begging me to stay.

"I won't. I won't." I repeated, reassuring him. "Not again." I whispered and he smiled a little bit.

"Dylan..." He whispered and I responded with a hum as I looked down at him. "I..."

"Here's the water." We heard a voice and I turned around seeing Charles, Mick standing behind him.

Charles slammed the water on the nightstand and turned around walking off. I furrowed my brows looking at him confused.

"Charles." Mick called him but Charles just walked past him, pushing him slightly with his shoulder. "I'll go get him." He told me and I nodded.

Mick walked away and I looked back at Max.

"Do you want water?" I asked reaching to grab the water from the nightstand and he shook his head.

"Any liquid that goes into my body right now will come out immediately." He joked and I laughed shaking my head.

"Okay." I spoke in between laughter. "I need to go." I told him and he furrowed his brows.

"You said you weren't leaving." He whispered with pleading eyes, I swallowed hard really wanting to stay. But I knew that'd just make everything harder.

"We'll talk tomorrow, okay? I'm not going anywhere." I told him squeezing his hand.

"Okay." He agreed and I let go of his hand slowly.

"Goodnight Max." I told him caressing his cheek softly as he closed his eyes.

"Goodnight Dyl." He whispered grabbing my hand softly and I felt my heart skip a beat.

I stood up from the bed and Max held onto my hand as much time as he could, his arm dropping besides the bed. I turned off the lights and walked towards the door. I looked at him one last time before walking out and closing the door behind me.

"Dyl, hey." His voice snapped me back to reality and my heart started racing.

"Hey, how's the hungover?" I joked and he chuckled shaking his head.

"Bad." He replied raising his eyebrows.

"Uh...do you still want to talk?" I asked and he furrowed his brows confused.
