Max's POV:

Dylan hadn't recovered when Spa came. The paddock felt empty without her, we all felt it. The air felt thick and the day was gloomy.

But I had a reason to be here, standing outside of Helmut's office. I took a deep breath trying to gain the courage to knock. I let a deep breath out and knocked.

"It's open." I heard Helmut's voice form the other side.

I opened the door and walked in. He was looking at his laptop with his glasses on. He looked up at me and immediately took his glasses off.

"Max." He put his glasses on the desk. "Did something happened?" He asked confused by my presence.

"Actually yes." I replied and he pointed at the chair in front of his wooden desk. I sat down putting my hands on my thighs. "Ferrari is announcing today that they're parting ways with Dylan at the end of the season." I spoke and he raised his eyebrows surprised.

"Poor girl. She already has a lot going on." He spoke and I swallowed hard, trying to get out the words I wanted to say.

"Is there a way to get her back in the team?" I asked and he looked at me. "She's too good of a driver to be left without a competitive seat." I spoke trying to prove my point.

Helmut took a deep breath and leaned forwards, placing his hands on the desk.

"You know I think Dylan is an exceptional driver." He started and I nodded. "But I don't know, there's other prospects." He added and I furrowed my brows.

"Like who? Lando? He's staying with McLaren." I moved my hand around.

"We have Tsunoda, Lawson..."

"Both not ready." I cut him off. "Please Helmut, she brought you wins, podiums, almost a championship on her rookie year, she could've been the youngest world champion ever." I spoke and he leaned back on his chair sighing.

"Okay." He spoke and I raised my eyebrows surprised by his response. "Under one condition only." He added and I nodded, listening to him attentively. "She needs to prove she still has it. I need to see evidence that shows that that Dylan you just described it still there." He pointed at me.

"She's still there." I replied confidently and he chuckled softly.

"Didn't think you'd ever defend a teammate so much." He spoke and I chuckled softly. "You can't tell her about this, she needs to prove herself and then I'll considerate bringing her back, okay?" He raised his eyebrows.

"Okay." I smiled victorious.

Dyl's POV:

A nurse was doing some routine checks on me. She grabbed a syringe injecting medicine in my veins. I Flo bend a bit at the cold feeling and she gave me a warning smile.

"And we're done." She told me.

"Thank you." I pursed my lips on a smile and she nodded walking towards the door.

As I saw her walk out I also saw someone standing on the door.

"Dad." I spoke in disbelief and he smiled. I hadn't heard from him in a long time.

"Hey baby, how are you?" He asked walking towards me. "How are you princess?" He went in to hug me.

I froze as he wrapped his arm around me softly.

"Why hadn't you called?" I asked offended and he sighed putting his hands in his pockets.

"I was busy baby, I'm sorry." He apologized and I pursed my lips nodding.
