Dyl's POV:
It had been a few though months. The doctors were worried I had a brain injury and that my wrist was never going to work as it used to. But I couldn't handle the idea of not racing anymore.
If this were going to be my last races I wanted to enjoy them. I missed the adrenaline running through my veins as soon as I got in the car. The feeling that he high speed gave me was one nothing else could give me.
It made my heart pump, my pupils dilate, it made me who I am.
So there I was. Austin Grand Prix. As soon as I stepped out of the car with Theo I heard loud cheering. I smiled waving as people chanted my name.
"Dylan it's so great to have you back!" A girl yelled and I smiled.
"Thank you." I told her as I signed her cap.
"You can do this Dylan!"
"You're amazing!"
"Thank you." I smiled at several people as I took pictures and gave autographs.
Theo put his hand on my shoulder as we walked towards the entrance of the paddock. The support I was getting was truly overwhelming in a beautiful way.
I scanned my pass, the beeping like music to my ears.
"Gosh, I missed that sound." Theo said out loud like he could hear my thoughts and I chuckled.
"Dylan." I heard a voice and turned around. I saw Mick running towards me.
He wrapped his arms around me, hugging me and lifting me off the ground.
"I missed you so much." He whispered and I chuckled.
"I missed you too Micki." I smiled looking up at him.
He looked behind me and smiled seeing Theo.
"T!" He exclaimed and Theo chuckled as they high-fived and hugged.
"How's everything been without us?" I asked and he took a deep breath clicking his tongue.
"Boring." He replied and I laughed.
"Don't worry, we're back to stir some drama." Theo joked wrapping his arm around Mick and he chuckled.
"You should go to the hospitality." Mick spoke pointing at me and I furrowed my brows with a smile.
"Why?" I asked confused.
"Let's just go." He replied starting to walk.
Theo and I looked at each other and followed him.
Max's POV:
"Daniel, Lando, please stop playing with the balloons." Christian scolded them as they kept hitting each other with the balloons.
They both froze and let go of the colorful balloons, putting their hands behind their back.
Lewis, Flo, and George were fixing a banner that said "Welcome Back Dyl".
"To the left." Lewis spoke and George listened to him moving the banner.
"There?" He asked and Lewis and Flo made a thinking face.
"A little bit up." Flo spoke and Lewis nodded in agreement.
George lifted his hands even higher. Lewis put his hand on his chin and Flo squinted crossing her arms.
"To the right." They said at the same time and George sighed throwing his head back but listened to them.
"To the left." Lewis spoke.
