Eric knew it was slightly childish to dream about the things he dreamt about. It would have been fine if they were just dreams, but when you're able to control your dreams, it's slightly odd to chose to dream about pirates and dragon. In this particular dream, Eric was flying into a volcano that a dragon supposedly lived in to save the six citizens the dragon had captured.
Inside, a large, green dragon had grabbed one of the citizens, and was flying above the lava, about to drop her in. As the dragon dropped the citizen, a person appeared floating next to it. Eric was so stunned he stopped flying down to catch the citizen, who fell into the lava with a splash. Realizing this, he willed the floating girl who had appeared to go away, but nothing happened. The girl looked at the dragon.
"You have some strange dreams, my friend." She told it. Then she looked away. "No, you're not the source of this dream, are you?" She said the question like a statement. "Who is...." she looked around until she saw the stunned Eric hovering thirty feet higher than her.
She floated up to his level.
"Do you enjoy watching people fall into lava?"
Eric continued to gape.
"You're not taking very well to this..... I'll leave soon. But listen: they're coming. When you wake up, get your family and run. Please. Don't let another family end up like mine. Oh, and you might need to think three times and-" She suddenly stopped and pure terror filled her face.
Then she was gone.Hi, It's me!
No applause? Really? Wow, tough crowd. Anyways, I know this chapter was super short, but cut me some slack with the promise of really long chapters in the future. Also, I would like to direct you to the story this story originated from (which might not be published for a while because it's going to be huge), my other book, The Physics Of Magic.
Bye!
Woah, applause when I leave, but not when I come? Grrr!
