A Dream Come True- a bad dream come true

Eric snapped awake. What the heck was that?! He quickly got dressed and ran down the stairs.
His little sister was happily eating cereal, always up early. His mother stood in the pantry, looking for what to eat and his father watched TV on the couch. Relief filled Eric that they were all alright, then he felt silly about being worried over a dream. But for some reason he still felt worried that something bad would happen.
"Eric, you're never up this early!" Said his little sister, Penny. His mother turned around at her voice.
"While look at that, it lives! Good morning, sweetie! Why are you up?"'
Eric shrugged.
"Just am. How's it going down here?"
"Good."
"Great. I'll be at the park."
"No breakfast?"
"Not hungry."
And with that, Eric put shoes on and left for the park.
He found himself feeling quite ridiculous about that dream. But his worry never wavered all the way to the park. About ten minute after he left, his worry overcame him and he turned around.
This is ridiculous. He thought to himself. It was just a dream. And he found himself repeating that in his head the entire way home. Until he arrived and noticed the smashed door way. He stepped inside and saw, to his horror, a group of five armed adults in his house. One was pinning sweet little Penny against a wall.
"Where is the magic one?"
"I don't know who you're talking about!" She screamed.
"Where is your brother!?" Screamed the man.
"He said he was going outside!" But then she saw Eric standing in the door. She didn't say anything, but the man followed her gaze.
Eric woke up tied up in a large van with his head throbbing. His family was in the same type of situation across from him. A woman sat with them all.
"Oh good, your all awake now. So, it's time to begin explaining. "

I know, another really short chapter, but I promise, long ones are coming. Anyways, get ready to met some new characters in the next two chapters. Almost to the exciting part!
