Eric woke at around eight thirty, still thinking about the dream. Then he heard a knock at the door. He stood up and opened it. There stood Hailey, looking bored.
"Hi," she said. "I was sent to wake you up an tell you to go to the wind elementist place at nine. Also, there's breakfast if you go to the giant cylinder and go to the door with a salad on it."
Then she turned to leave.
"Hey, wait, I have some questions about this place."
She turned to face him as Eric stepped out and closed his door.
"First, where is my family?"
"Now they're slaves for Cade Plisk."
"Who's that?"
"He's the guy that runs this place."
"What are you?"
"I'm just another slave."
"How come you know something I don't."
"I don't know what you're talking about."
Eric stopped to think, and Hailey capsized on the silence and walked away.
Eric arrived at the cylinder building a couple minutes later. He was walking towards the door with a salad on it when he heard a scream. He turned around to see a circle of people forming around a screaming girl. He ran up, and looked over the people to see a girl. She was curled into a ball, and as she screamed her voice seemed to get hoarse to quickly, more and more so. Eric heard people muttering
"Oh my gosh, that's Leah."
"What's wrong with her?"
"Who is it?"
"Apparently it's a water elementist named Leah."
"Why is she screaming?"
"Her voice! It sounds so weird now."
As Eric watched, poor Leah seems to get smaller. Her skin even started to turn a little grey. Two adults rushed in, picked her up, and carried her away, but Eric could still hear the screams.
"I hope she's alright." Said Will, who was apparently standing right next to Eric. Eric wanted to scream at him
"Oh really? Since when do you care about people being ok?" But when he heard Hailey's muttered response, that thought died within him.
"She won't be alright. They don't want her to." Eric looked at Hailey, who continued staring ahead, not noticing him.
"It's not in the plan."
DUN DUN DINNER
What is the plan? Who is Leah? What happened to Leah? Shouldn't Eric have forgiven Will by now? Why is Hailey so terrified?
Anyways, COMMENT.
