His legs had solid rock around them like a cast. It was like when you bury your feet in sand, except his whole legs, and it was solid stone. He couldn't move his legs at all. Ellie laughed at his face.
"I'm a rock elementist. The stone will work like a cast. And we used a lot of numbing medicine. You've been out for two hours." She explained
From the way he felt, Eric was surprised it wasn't two days.
"Ok, but what exactly happened?" He glared at Will
"You knew it was real and you didn't tell me or help me or anything."
Will laughed.
"I did help you. If I had tried to stop you, and tell you it wasn't a dream, would you have believed me? Pain proves that you're not in a dream, and a simple pinch won't cut it most of the time."
"But you let me fall!"
"He did much more than that," said Ellie, shooting Will a disapproving look.
"You're a wind elementist, so you began to use wind to catch yourself. Will used wind to push you down so you still hit the ground."
Suddenly the strange occurrences when he had been falling made sense.
Will used wind to fall faster then me. For some reason, Eric registered that before he registered that Will had made him hit the ground. And broke his legs. And Will just sat there, not caring. Not apologizing. Even saying he helped Eric. Eric got pretty mad. He would have run off if he could have.
I want to storm off. He thought, then, for some reason, he repeated in his head two times. He opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something. It was on the tip of his tongue..... but he didn't say anything. He stared at Will, trying to fill his gaze with as much anger and hate as possible, but the bigger boy didn't seem affected. When that didn't work, Eric sent a gust of wind at him, strong enough to send him flying back, with a flick of his hand.
"Will, I think you should leave." Said Ellie. Her face remained calm, but there was a slight sense of urgency in her voice. Eric found himself distracted as Will left, glaring at him.
He had just sent insanely strong wind at somebody by flicking his hand, and all this came as instinct. He felt a wave of gratitude towards the people that had shown him these powers, and taught him how to use them.
Where did that thought come from? These people had kidnapped him! Taken his family!
A theory started to form in his head. One that he didn't like at all.
Ellie began talking.
"Sorry, but I really must be going too. Use the wind to fly around if you want to go somewhere. Wind elementists train in the morning from nine to ten. Someone should find you and show you where you'll be staying. Bye!" And with that she left.

I know, stop with the short chapters, but don't worry, it gets better.
