walking along.. looking for his kids on this day.. not the thing he wished he was doing today, Bowser wished he was sitting with his kids watching movies and playing games... and hoping they aren't dead... oh god..
"WENDY, ROY!! COME OUT ITS DAD!"
he yelled out, the sound echoing. This part of the mushroom kingdom, or well it used to be the liroki..? Kingdom (he was never sure, how that name was said or spelt) had been abandoned for ages, just after it got taken over by the mushroom kingdom, he remembered running through this place, when it wasn't the mushroom kingdom... the people here were so nic-
"They could be anywhere.."
Luigis words broke Bowser thoughts.
"Mm.."
"Well.. from my research, this used to be a town.. outside the mushroom kingdom. "
"That's true, when I was younger, it used to be.. yeah"
"How was it?"
"It was lovely, it used to be a gardening village, that's how they made their money, but when the.... let's say land stopped growing things, their economy fell.."
"... what kind of things did they grow?"
"Oh.. there main was Peasley's Roses, and they were gorgeous.. but there was also Volcano Lotus, The Rainbow Carnation was their main as their town particularly go- went into Marmalade Valley, and well, they lived off that plant, but.. the land here stopped making them and... what? Why are you looking at me like that?"
"You like plants.."
"I enjoy gardening, yes.."
"That's where Wendy and Larry got it from, hm?"
"Ah.. yes, I guess they would.."
"Was jrs... uh, other parent.. a gardener?"
The area filled with silence, Bowser didn't mean to stop talking, but..
"You look.. sad, are they a sore subject?"
Bowser looked over at him, with a clear back off expression, but it wasn't meant to come off that way.
"I-i don't mean to pry, you don't need to answer.. I mean the-"
"Grr"
"Did you hear?"
"GET BACK! I AM NOT SCARED TO ATTACK!"
"Huh?"
"..DONT TRY ME!"
The voice was coming from an abandoned building, a small shack.. Bowser rushed in first, not knowing if luigi was behind him.
"Wendy, it is going to be okay!"
"Roy, it isn't! I AM NOT SCARED, TO KIL-"
There were whispering in response.. Bowser froze up.. but luigu busted the door down.
"LUIGI MARIO PUT YOUR!"
there was silence then running. Bowser finally found his legs and rushed into the room. There was a broken window, roy, and Wendy were in Luigis arms clearly protectively.
"DAD!"
The kids ran over, and he picked them up, hugging them so tightly.
"T-t-that person came out of nowhere an-a-a-n-nd"
Wendy stuttered out.
"I am so sorry, dad. I ran into things again! I didn't think! I let -"
"That doesn't matter. I'm here now, okay? It's all okay, come one. we need to get you two home, and jrs going to be so happy to see you.."
They continued to cry in his arms. The hole walked back until they fell asleep in his arms, as they got back to the ship, they saw mario and the toads begging for help, Bowser tried to just walk past.
"Luigi! Bowser.. what happened?"
"Nothing. B- Mr King Bowser, let's go."
He slightly pushed bowser onto the ship and practically ignored mario. That's strange.. Bowser would think about it later.. he had his kids to look after..
