Well.. it was.. one thing to ask to talk to the king.. another to ask to talk to him alone, Bowser had never had any.. ah.. well, no one in many, many years, demand to talk to him, alone.. that's not... well, family, of course.
"Thank you, I apologise for the bossiness.. just.."
"No, no, just I haven't had anyone, demand to talk to me like that in.... forever..."
"A-ah well, I hope you're not mad.. yet it's important."
"Oh, o-of course."
The stern look in his eyes made Bowsers heart skip a beat, his deep blue eyes staring into his harshly, Bowsers eyes turned subconsciously away.
"Is there anything you're not telling me, I mean related to the kids' case.."
"N-no no.."
Bowser gave himself away that he was lying. He never stuttered.
"Bowser, I'm not gonna judge whatever you tell me, I just.. it's taking so long to find each kid. We only have lemmy, Wendy, and roy."
"Bowser jr-"
"Wasn't missing. He was at Boo's, I've only found one technically, lemmy, Wendy, and roy, were found by the townspeople."
"U-uh- o-oh- h-hmm.."
Bowser suddenly felt.. nervous..
"Why is this palace so vacant of photos of anyone but the kids and one of you? Why is the dining room wall paint fadded where old photos used to be? Why is there no evidence of anyone ruling before you? Why don't you talk about Bowser Jr.'s other parent?"
"U-uh- w-wha- o-oh- m-mh.."
Bowser went quiet. This wasn't what he wanted.. to have to talk about his past.. his paren- predecessors... Bowser closed his eyes and took a deep breath
"Ah! I'm sorry.. a little intense.."
"N-no i-its just.. that's a lot to unpack.."
Luigi leaned away to give him space, and Bowser began to answer slowly.
"The photos are in the basement, my.. predecessors.. let's just say sucked, and they are hard to think about."
Luigi took a second and then continued.
"Basement.. i- I've been in the basement -"
"No, you've been in dungeon. The basement is under the dungeon. There's a way down under.."
"And.. Th-they sucked?"
"The people hated them - i-it doesn't matter.."
"O-oh.."
The room went quiet, and Bowser felt the sweat go down the back of his neck.
"I-is that all?"
"U-uh... no. That's not all."
Bowser could see luigi putting on the front his brother used to use on him. He could guess he was trying to intimate him.. it totally wasn't.. okay, it was totally adorable, and Bowser was kinda sorta totally into it.
"There is this man, he keeps.. showing up, I've found 3 kids.. and for all three, he's shown up.. it's.. strange, and of course, the kids would be high targets.."
"Really.. what do you mean.. show up.."
"I mean, show up as if he's tried to harm or take the kids away. He was a lot more aggressive with lemmy. he's or, well, it could be a she.. wears all black and has deep blue eyes an-"
"I-i have no idea who you're talking about!"
"H-huh?"
"I-I need to go!"
"W-what, B-Bowser wait-"
Bowser got up and left. He could not handle lying to luigis's face, but.. he couldn't let.. him, get into luigis head... not yet.

That was.. something, as luigi walked the halls, all he could think was, what was that!? Why was he so.. scared.. worried...mad?? He continued to walk the halls or more... pace.. he finally reached his destination.. the dungeon door.. it loomed over him, and luigi felt a chill run up his back. The last time he was in the dungeon was... ugh.. he didn't want to think about that wedding.. or the dress, how ever pretty it may be, ever again.
He opened the door, hoping to find this basement, he continued on, walking through the dinghy, old, wet dungeon. It reminded him of Boo's mansion. He hated that place, yet he could only hope that this place didn't have ghosts.. he kept walking, looking for.. well, he didn't know what, but he just had to find it.
He reached a dead end with.. nothing.. "d-did I go the wrong way..?" Luigi looked around.. nothing.. then he took a step forward, and then.. he dropped the last sound, being an ear piecing scream.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
