*GUYS!? I've been gone a while ( the last post was an old draft I kept in case of a rainy day), and we got to (as of now) to 5.01k reads!? When did this happen?? I cut my foot open (I'm all good now) and took a small step back from wattpad (other than reading, of course), and we reach 5.01k reads!? Jeez gang! Y'all just made my year! Larry was easier to talk to. He understood what they had done, how bad it was, and, well, his mistakes for going on with it, but by his retelling, it wasn't his idea, although did corporate and help make the plans to get passed the guards, as well as the city, but he didn't give much more than that, luigi was losing sleep, for 1. Dreams of his mother and 2. The confusion on who this ''hero'' was, and as both of his candidates were knocked out by waluigi, which he conveniently forgot to mention to Bowser, his second thought was peach, she had promised to help with finding the kids but there had been nothing from her and she had a reason to want revenge on bowser, daisy had helped as much as she could, not much but, she did have a much smaller kingdom, Sarasaland had sent troops into the forest nearby looking for anyone and they had just returned a letter showing there was nothing.. Yet.. Mario hadn't sent any letters giving updates either.. but he's one man! And he wouldn't.. would he? No, no!! Course not.. he's one man. He had no chance of finding anything, and the toad kingdom was much larger.. and this ''hero'' didn't have Mario's handwriting!
He was pulled out of his thoughts by a feeling of eyes on him. He slowly turned his head to see, who he had now thought of as an unwelcomed friend.
"Bee."
"So you figured it out, huh?"
"Yeah, well, you were right, Bowser did give me some answers."
"Not upset by the soulmate comment?"
"Not really - wait, you've never come to me to chat!"
"Well, I need to make sure you're not in a bad mood because then it would get much worse."
Luigi went still. Whenever Bee showed up, it was to give him hints, little titbits, show him in the right direction, but it was always a sort of riddle, ghosts had tended to do that, show you little parts of a picture.. so when a ghost told you outright, this was bad news. It was bad news.
"What..?"
"You are running out of time, he will be back soon, and this time he won't have anyone to stop him, or anyone to save, he won't be on a time frame, he'll have all the time in the world to win this game, love for peach toadstool, wont stop him this time, he wont stop until he wi.."
Luigi had written this one down, clearly avoiding the chance of forgetting, but he felt a hand on him.
"Mr. luigi!"
He woke with a start, Kemnek staring at him, concern in his face, luigi slowly blinked, look down at his notebook, he had drooled on the page, part of the riddle smudged, but you could still make out most of it, he shook his head trying to remember the rest but nothing showed up, it was like something or someone had erased it, for a reason, he closer the book and turned back to Kemnek.
"Uh-um-uh.. W-what-"
"I felt magic being used in here.. is everything okay?"
"oh- Oh- yes, yes!"
"Hmm.."
".."
The room went quiet. It was clear that Kemnek didn't believe him.
"Everything's fine, Kemnek.. KEMNEK!"
Luigi just had an idea, His eyes lit up.
"Uh- yes?"
"You know everything about the war and the koopa family, right?"
"Mostly- why?"
Luigi had, had this completely silly idea that Bowser was hiding something from him, even though the note said not to involve anyone but asking Kemnek about anyone who would want revenge on the koppa kingdoms royal family was literally in the contract!
"So.. you'd know anyone that would want revenge on them.."
"Yes..?? Where are you going with this?"
"Well, Bowser can't recall anyone that would harm his children.. I thought maybe you would?"
"Why is that important? By what I know that children made this plan themselves."
"Well..n- yes. But! I know the kids are smart, but they wouldn't be able to escape the castle, let alone the kingdom alone! So I was thinking some had a hand in their escape.."
Luigi tried his best not to reveal anything, so this ''hero'' wouldn't get upset..
"Well, we were in a war with the toadstools long before Bowser or peach were born."
"Really? Is there anyone from that time that would ya know want to hurt the koppa family?"
"Well, very few that would still be alive today, none that would be young enough or care enough to continue the feud, although, unless you are thinking it's someone of boos status.."
"Why would I know anything about tha-"
"Don't play with me, Mr. Luigi, I know you can communicate with ghosts, quite easily mind you."
"How woul-"
"I am more impressive than I seem, my dear."
"Oh.. right magic."
Kemnek smiled and sat on the bed.
"You should know there are many who would want the koopas dead,none you want to get on the bad side of, there's knights, hero's, even kings"
".. why would Bowser keep this from me it seems important to mention.."
"He doesn't remember, by what Bowser knows there was a mercenary who betrayed his parents ending in their death, he never allowed any mercenary to get close after that."
"So, it was that blonde king.."
"How do you know that?"
Luigi had got to stop talking out loud.
"Uh.. ghosts show you things..?"
"Let me guess, Bee?"
