Last time, Ben teamed up with a team of heroes known as the Defenders to take down the criminal known as the Kingpin. The Kingpin wanted to burn down all of Hell's Kitchen and buy up the land so he could own everything. Once he was done with Hell's Kitchen, the Kingpin would have moved on to another burrow of New York City till he had burned down all of the city and owned it. Fortunately, Ben and the Defenders were able to stop the Kingpin from fulfilling his goal. Taking him down and gathering all of the evidence they needed, Ben and the Defenders made sure that the Kingpin would go to prison and stay there, with a little help of Ben's Avenger friends.

After the day had been won and the Kingpin was hauled off, Ben gave each of the Defenders their own Avengers I.D. card. He believed that all of them had proved themselves worthy to become Avengers, and they earned these I.D cards. Of course, they'd be reserve members for now, showing up when the Avengers needed their help. Daredevil and the Defenders didn't mind this as they believed that they still needed to help out the little guy and take on the street level threats while Ben and the Avengers took on the big bads threatening the world. While all of this was going on, Baron Zemo and the Enchantress were busy recruiting Bullseye to their Masters of Evil.

Kitchen: Avengers Mansion, New York City

It was another early morning for Ben, who was busy in the kitchen making himself a smoothie after a long training session in the H.A.R.M Room. Once again, Ben had woken up in the middle of the night because of a nightmare. While Ben hated having the nightmares, he was just glad that this one was the same old one he always had. Ben didn't know if he could take a new one like the one he had recently been having with his dead family members torturing him. Still, Ben was physically and mentally exhausted, and no matter how many times he tried to work things out in the H.A.R.M Room, nothing got better for him.

Janet and the other Avengers, while worried about Ben, gave him his space and didn't try to force any help on him. Janet, who viewed herself as Ben's big brother, tried to get him some professional help. Which was basically her taking Ben shopping and trying to get him hooked up with a girl or at least some new friends who were his age. While Ben appreciated everything she and the others did for him, Ben still wasn't ready to move on from Kai and all of his old friends.

"Maybe I should try blackberry and apple next time" Ben said to himself as he thought of new smoothie flavors

Steve and Tony both walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table

"So kid, how was the H.A.R.M Room?" Tony asks Ben

Like usual, Ben left the H.A.R.M Room in pieces, meaning it would take hours for it to self-repair and fix itself

"I think you should add more level to it, 10 isn't enough or at least add a feature that lets us face off against villains" Ben said with a shrug, avoiding the subject Tony wanted to talk about

"That is actually a good idea, maybe you should add a feature like that to the H.A.R.M Room" Steve tells Tony while he sips his coffee and reads the paper

Tony just let out a sigh of defeat, but he did think Ben's suggestion was a good idea

"I think I know someone who can help with the increased difficulty levels and the replicating enemies thing" Tony said

"Great, and don't worry about tomorrow, I think I'll just hit the regular gym if I wake up early" Ben tells Tony

"Thank you, some of us like using the H.A.R.M Room" Tony said with a sigh of relief

Ben knew doing that would get Tony and the others off of his back for a while, but there was still another issue that they weren't talking about, and it involved Steve. Back when Zemo invaded the mansion with the Doughboys and was about to finish Steve off, apparently, a man in a black cat suit saved Steve. And when Tony made Steve a co-leader of the Avengers, Steve wanted to meet and thank the mysterious black cat suit wearing man. Of course, Ben and the others didn't know what Steve was talking about and thought he was making it up, but Steve refused to believe otherwise.
