"Good morning, Missy!" -he waved at her as he smiled.
"Good morning, John." -she replied. "If you're okay with it, can we go...like, now?" -she asked.
"Oh- sure, let's go." -John replied as he began making his way to his horse. As Charlotte sat up on her horse John couldn't help but ask...
"Are you...okay? I'm worried about you." -he asked with a concerned expression on his face.
"I'll...tell you. First, let's get out of camp." -she explained as she instructed her horse to turn around and both of them left the camp's vicinity.

More and more clouds formed in the sky as they were making their way up to the place where her wolf died. Charlotte told John what happened in the morning.
"I've seen this coming from a mile away!"
"Wait what- You did??" -she looked at him swiftly as her eyes widened in surprise.
"I've noticed Javier acting weird around you. Also, you've...changed. You wasn't stuttering more when you was around him." -he explained. "I've been jealous of him in the beginning when you was acting...how do I put this, different, around him. But as time went on, you slowly stopped doing that." -he added.

Charlotte just looked ahead of herself for some seconds, burying herself in her thoughts when suddenly she snapped out of it.
"So you...noticed." -she started. "...that's because I've realized it's not worth chasing after someone who's not interested in you." -she ended her speech with a sad smile. John's eyes sparkled with realization.

"You...you're completely right." -he replied before he fixated his gaze on the road.
Some more time later they arrived at the place. Took some time and hard work to dig that hole in the ground but they finished it in an hour. John carried the wolf's body over to it and gently placed the wolf's body in there. After John finished filling the hole, they made a small cross and stuck it into the ground. Charlotte then placed some hummingbird sages on top of the grave, stood up, went over to John, and stood by his side. She stood there for a good few seconds when a wave of emotions caught her and she started crying softly, burying her face into her palms.

John looked at her and it genuinely pained him to see her like this so he pulled her into a hug.
"I'm here...cry all you want." -he whispered as he placed a kiss on top of her head while caressing her back gently.
Charlotte hugged John back as tight as she could, and then after some minutes, she let go of him. John looked at her in silence and wiped the tears away that were on her face. Charlotte looked up at him and smiled slightly as she grabbed onto John's hand, gently caressing it before letting go. She turned towards the gave once again and sighed.

"You was at the wrong place and wrong time, Moonlight..." -she looked down as she whispered under her breath.
John turned his head towards Charlotte.
"Look at me, they almost ended me. But you...got away unscathed." -he explained as snow started falling from the sky.
"You're right on that..." -she said as she glanced at John. "Anyway...we should get back to camp." -she added. John was about to say something when a twig snapped. Charlotte shushed John and placed her hand on her revolver.
"Come out wherever you are. I know you've been following us for a while now!" -she commanded.

'Shit! Arthur, I told you to follow us in the shadows, not in the light! I hope she doesn't shoot that fool down!'
John thought to himself as he looked around.
