"Hey, you remember what I said last year, right? We're Zombie Boy and Ghost Boy. I'm not ever gonna leave you."
"Promise?"
"One hundred percent."

The answer to how they were getting weapons came when Eddie grabbed the phone book, slammed it down on an open page and declared, "Check this out. The War Zone."
Alistair looked at this supposed War Zone as everyone else did the same, seeing the image of an action guy surrounded by guns, bombs, and what looked like either rocket launchers or bazookas, as underneath was WAR ZONE declared in bold letters. Alistair stared at it, not really believing that could be a real place but it apparently was. And from looking at the ad, Alistair knew that was a place he would never go, but... it might be a place where they could get weapons and supplies to kill Vecna and those bats.
"I've been there once," Eddie said, and that had Alistair stare at Eddie in disbelief, because when did Eddie go to there as he went on, "It's huge. They've got everything you need for, uh... well, killing things, basically."
"You think fake Rambo has enough guns there?" Robin criticised as she pointed at the ad. "Is that a grenade? I mean, how is any of this legal?"
"Didn't you literally talk about the police station having grenades, Robs?" Valerie pointed out as Robin immediately looked sheepish. Alistair stared at Robin—why the hell did she think the police station would have grenades?
"Well, lucky for us, it is, so..." Eddie said with forced cheer before he pointed to the address in the ad. "This... this place is just far enough outside of Hawkins. As long as we steer clear of main roads, we oughta be able to avoid cops and, uh, angry hicks."
"If we're trying to avoid angry hicks, maybe we shouldn't go to some store called the War Zone," Erica pointed out with her usual sass.
"Normally, I'd agree, but we need the weapons. So I think it's worth the risk," Nancy decided.
"Me too," Lucas agreed.
"I agree. Normally I'd rather we not go there, but we need as much firepower as we can get. So I think the weapons outweigh the risks," Rowan concurred.
"Yeah, but is it worth the time?" Dustin argued. "It'll take all day to bike there and back."
"Not to mention biking back will take longer when we have the weapons," Cami pointed out. "That's time we don't have."
"Who said anything about bikes?" Eddie asked, making everyone look at him.
"What, you got some car we don't know about?" Steve questioned.
"Yeah, because last time I checked, Munson, you don't have your van," Rowan reminded.
"It's not exactly a car, Steve, or my van, Graveswood," Eddie said as he stood up, looking at Steve and Rowan. "And it's not exactly mine. But, uh... it'll do."
