Aadhira"Neither i nor the the persons around me possess a pure and selfless heart like yours, Ms. Khurana. Do you know? I have one bad habit. If I come across something unique that I lack, I would go to any extent to make it mine. Now, I am feeling like claiming your that pure and selfless heart exclusively for myself" he said in his deep, captivating tone, causing my hair to stand on end.
He is....he is a complete lunatic...
I gazed at him with a sense of fear creeping within me. The moment i was brought here by this psycho king, i was trying to put up on a bold act despite the overwhelming fear inside. However, upon hearing his words, all i wanted was to break down into tears.
"Lo...look, Mr. Suryawanshi. Let me go. Its getting late for me. You....let me go" i said trying to be strong. But my trembling voice betrayed me. The more i look at the person in front of me the more i felt scared.
"I am not stopping you. Accept my gifts then you're free to go...for now" he said, as he walked towards the place where the items were kept. I bite my lips to stabilize my uneven breath and looked at him sharply.
"I said i don't want your gifts. I don't want them" i said in my raised tone. He gave me a sharp look as if my words had offended him. The small smile that he had been wearing vanished, and his gaze turned menacing, causing my body to tense up. Without breaking eye contact with me, he picked up the Chinese vase.
"You sure you don't want this?" He asked me. His voice carried a hint of anger.
"No" i replied in a soft yet determined tone. In the next second i found myself surrounded by the shattered remnants of the vase. My whole body trembled uncontrollably as i looked at the broken pieces, tears welling up in my eyes. The person who stood before me showed no emotions as if he hadn't just broke the 30 Crores worth Chinese vase.
How can he be so cruel? Why did he break the vase? Just because i said i don't want it? Could he be someone with a mental illness?
"What....why did you..break it?" I asked in a low tone, my eyes scanned the tiny fragments of the vase.
He must have used so much force.
Not receiving any response from him, I glanced up and my eyes widened as i saw him setting fire to the artpiece and the poetry of gibran. Ignoring the vase pieces scattered on the ground, i sprinted towards him, desperate to stop him. When i was about to reach the burning artpiece and the poetry frame, he stopped me by forwarding his hand in front of me.
"What are you doing? Are you sick? How can you have the heart to burn this beautiful painting and Gibran's poetry? How can you?" I asked him still looking at the burning fire in front of me.
The beautifull painting was no more. I saw the last word of the poetry too vanishing in the blazing fire. The place which was pleasant with the night wind is now filled with the burning smell and smoke.
"Didn't you say you don't want them? Now why are you upset?" He asked me with a smirk plastered on his face. I looked at him without even blinking.
"You...how can you do that? Yes, i said that. But how can you burn it like some trash. That was a beautiful painting and...." I was cut off by him.
"So what? These items lost it's beauty and purpose when you didn't want them" he said so casually that made me stunned.
"By the way you look very beautiful with tears in your eyes, red nose, rosy cheeks, and trembling lips" he said, licking his lips while his gaze fixed on my lips.
Then only i noticed that i am very close to him that my body is touching him. I immediately moved away from him and ran towards the elavator. I pressed the button while watching the person who stood a little far away from me. I kept pressing the button while tears flowed from my eyes constantly. I stopped pressing the button when i saw him coming towards me. He stood a few steps away from me much to my relief. He took his phone from his pocket and called someone while keeping his gaze on me.
