"Nothing," I replied, slipping the black card into the pocket of my jeans.

"Shall we go, Rani sa?" Nethra asked as she opened the car door for me. After I settled in, she took the passenger seat. Just as Uncle was about to start the car, I saw Ruhi running toward me.
"Ruhi, be careful!" I scolded her for running so fast. She gave me a sheepish smile.
"I wanted to wish you all the best on your first day, Rani sa," she said, handing me my favorite dark chocolate, which made me smile brightly.
"Thank you, Ruhi," I said, waving at her as Uncle started the car.
Just then, my phone rang, prompting me to take it out of my backpack. When I saw the caller ID, I smiled and answered it.
"Bacha," Papa called gently, making me grin.
"Papa," I called out to him.
"Best of luck on your first day, bacha," he wished me. I thanked him, and he chatted with me for a few minutes before passing the phone to Mumma. She also wished me well for my first day.
"Aadhi, you know this isn't Mumbai, right? So don't get into any trouble, because your papa won't be there to save you like he usually does. Gaurang will update me on all your activities at campus every day, so you'd better behave," she warned.
"I know, Mumma," I replied with a sigh. After a few more words, she handed the phone to Bhai.
"There's a surprise for you," he said after wishing me, making me frown.
"What is it?" I asked, intrigued.
"Well, you'll find out when you reach your destination, and I’m sure you’ll love it," he said, keeping the surprise under wraps. After exchanging a few more words, he ended the call.
"Oh, Bhabi sa, you look so happy after talking to your family," Ranveer teased, making me chuckle. I glanced at Uncle, who was giving me a knowing smile through the rearview mirror.
"Uncle, you must know about the surprise my bhai mentioned. Please tell me what it is!" I asked eagerly and curiously.
" Of course I know what it is, but I won’t tell you," he said with a chuckle, making me glare at him.
"Well, Bhabi sa, just a few minutes, and then you’ll find out," Ranveer said, surprising me.
"How did you know?" I asked, shock evident on my face.
