Aadhira remained frozen against the chilly wall, her shocked gaze locked onto the dungeon. Sweat coated her pale face, her lips quivered, and her breathing was erratic. She shuddered uncontrollably, unable to tear her eyes away from the dreadful sight before her.
The dungeon emitted a repugnant odor, causing waves of nausea to wash over Aadhira. She closed her mouth tightly with her palm, turning her face away from the dungeon, unwilling to subject herself to another glimpse of its horrors.

Digvijay, with an expression as cold and unyielding as steel, silently observed Aadhira's fearful demeanor. There was no hint of remorse or regret in his eyes. He was well aware of her fear of dark, yet he deliberately brought her here to intimidate her. His intention was clear, to make her fear him and obey his every command without question.
Bringing her to his dungeon had not been his original plan. However, her words had ignited his anger, which he had struggled to suppress for some time. Hearing her suggest that death would be preferable to being with him had been particularly infuriating. He detested the idea of her contemplating death, especially after he had warned her against such thoughts on their wedding night, threatening her with her family.
Today, she had once again spoken of death, and this time, he couldn't resort to threatening her with her family. He had made a conscious decision not to use her family to blackmail her, not after hearing her call him a Coward. Now, the only option left was to induce fear in her to ensure she didn't entertain thoughts of harming herself or taking any drastic actions. This was the only strategy he could employ to make her surrender to him completely.
Another thing that has been troubling him lately was the words of the rajpurohit that she may encounter life threatening danger.
