Aadhira

"Aadhi, i am sorry. Please forgive me. Bacha...bacha..." Bhai said apologetically, trailing behind me persistently as I walked through the garden, ignoring him completely. Suddenly he jumped in front of me, blocking my path. I turned my face sideways, crossing my arms tightly against my chest.

"Aadhi, please talk to me. It's been two days since you talked to me" he pleaded me with a deep sigh.

Yeah, I haven't talked to him since that day when he shouted at me. In these two days he has been apologising to me by giving me chocolates, teady bear, imported snacks and my favourite novels etc... But still I ignored him and his gifts.

I turned around to go back to the house, but he stopped me, grabbing my hand. When I glanced at him, i was shocked to see him kneeling on the ground.

"Wh...what are you doing?" I asked, my wide-eyed gaze fixed on him.

"I am going to stay here on my kneel untill you forgive me" he said stubbornly.

"You're acting so childish. Please get up, bhai" I said with a chuckle.

"No. First tell me that you've forgiven me and then I'll be get up" he said, shaking his head which made me laugh.

"Alright then. Keep on kneeling" saying that I sat on the bench in front of him.

"Instead of kneeling why not you do sit ups. Yes, do 500 sit ups. Come on, hurry up" I said with a smirk, looking at his shocked expression.

" Are you being serious, Aadhi?" he asked, his eyes wide as soucer.

"Do I look like I am joking? Are you going to do it or not? If not, I am heading to my room" I said, attempting to rise from my seat.

"No no, Aadhi. Please, don't leave. I promise I will complete 500 sit ups. You don't leave" he said, as I had expected.

"Oh, okay. Then what are you wait for?" I asked as I folded my arms across my chest, clearly enjoying his miserable look. He began counting as he performed sit ups.

"Aadhi, my legs are aching" he complained with a huff.

"Don't you always spend hours working out in our home gym ? Then why are your legs hurting after just a few sit ups? My dear brother, do you think I am a fool?" I asked him wearing an overly sweet smile.

He muttered something under his breath.

"What did you say? Tell what did you say?" I asked him sternly.

"Nothing. I just said that my sister is very smart" he said through his gritted teeth, grinning at me.

"If your legs are aching then you don't have to do this" I said looking at him, placing my face on my palms.

"Really? Thankyou, Aadhi" he said with a wide grin on his face and was about to walk towards me.

"But you will not get my forgiveness" I said with a shrugg. Hearing my words his smile was gone from his face.

"You're the exact carbon copy of our mother, aren't you? What a devil sister I have!" he muttered under his breath and started doing sit ups again. This time I clearly heard him.

"Who are you calling devil? You're the one who shouted at me like a gorilla" I said glaring at him.

"Who? Me? Gorilla? Did you forget that I am your bhai?" He asked stopping his sit ups.
