As the girl puts the next title as Chapter 8: Admiration for Vetri! She immediately starts to blush and smiles thinking about her dream man that she finally found in some fictional character, I mean "Vetri". She resumes writing...
Dear Diary,
Whenever I think about the character Vetri, I instantly get isolated from the rest of the world and my thoughts just gets struck to all those awestruck memories that is associated with this particular character. An instant smile comes to my face and I just blush till my cheeks turn red. Not only back then but even today. We usually forget a fictional character or maybe a person as time passes by or at least we don't feel the same connection or emotion with them. But with respect to Vetri, I would like to refute my above statement with all due respect. Because day-by-day, the respect and love that I have for the fictional character "Vetri" only increases. Infact I don't see him as a fictional character anymore nor did I see him like that before. When I say Vetri is an emotion, I literally mean it. Like LITERALLYYYYY!!!
As days passed, my journey with ER1 kind of like grew in volumes. The day starts with it and ends with it (Of course I never denied or compromised my education and passion to learn amidst watching ER1). Whenever I think about why I started to admire Vetri to getting addicted to him and to how fondly even today I recollect those beautiful days with the like minded people who share the same craze that I have for him (my mirror rae), I feel how a mere fictional character can create such an impact in the shortest of span?! It's actually a very complicated question for sure, but as a budding fangirl I didn't understood it back then but today I clearly know the reason "WHY"???
In the world where we get to see or hear so many news of how women are treated badly or even brutally by men all over the world, we as women always in some point or other think that why we are born as women in the first place...
We all want that one man in our life who can respect us, admire us, appreciate us, trust us and treat us equally. As women, thinking to get a man with the qualities mentioned above is nothing to get embarrassed about as we deserve such a person in our life. But sadly we can't find any vetri in and around us. Maybe a person like that might be found among one in the thousands or even lakhs. I think that's actually one valid point why I love vetri so much. Whenever we think or speak about the character Vetri, the first thing that comes our mind is.Alexa!! Play "He's so cute, he's so sweet, he's so handsome"...
But I think this handsome and charming aspect was incidental for me to become his fangirl. Then the question might arise now that what is in him that makes me always go in my knees even at the mere thought of thinking about him. I proudly address vetri as my crush and love now but initially it was all respect...respect and respect for him which turned into admiration and finally he became the dream man of my life. There are certain qualities that I like in him, I mean, I highly adore in him, they are as follows:
Respect for Women: Vetri is basically that rarest man among the few who respects women. Be it his mother, sisters, friends, other girls, even anjali and finally malar, akila etc. His character trait never changed irrespective of how the women treated him. But he always treated them with utmost respect.
Caring: Vetri never fails to care for the ladies of his life or even the ladies who came across his life. His care for Malar is the best example for us to know how caring he is. The way he cared for her in the Chennai sequence and also afterwards was all so adorable. Even during aishwarya's wedding with jeeva he made sure that she got the life she wished for.
Protective: There is only a inch gap between being possessive and protective. But vetri was never possessive of malar. He might be and why shouldn't he be but ya, not the psychotic one for sure. We could clearly see during the trail room scene where vetri went inside before malar to check whether there is any hidden camera and then let her in. Also how can I forget the Chennai sequence where he warns a man when that man casually checks out malar in the bus. Also, most importantly Vetri never doubted on malar or her character. Who will not want a protective husband like him.
