"So, what do you think they are?" Kuina asked when Ren sat down on the pool chair. Ren brought the beer up to her lips, looking over at Arisu and Usagi. She shrugged her shoulders. "Don't you find it curious?" Kuina asked.
Ren glanced at Kuina. "Are you a matchmaker back in the real world?" Ren asked.
"Nope." Kuina beamed. "I just think they're dating." Kuina stated.
"I doubt it."
Kuina looked at Ren. "So, who's the girl we brought back with us?"
"Himari."
"Your girlfriend?"
Ren shook her head. "We met at one of the games. I stayed with her and her group for a little while." Ren played with the beer bottle. She looked it over, recalling everything she did to Junichiro, including the blood on her hands.
"Why'd you leave then?" Kuina asked.
Ren wasn't going to answer that question. She drank more of the beer before setting it aside. She stood up, removing the shorts from her body. "I'm getting into the pool." Ren wasn't going to talk about what she did. As much as the bastard deserved death, she didn't want to bring that to the Beach. Kuina thought Ren was this sweet girl, but beyond that exterior, Ren knew how to kill.
Ren honestly didn't want to see water again, but Ren couldn't answer the questions Kuina was asking. She needed time to think and process. However, as Ren got into the water, grabbing an inner-tub, the second group returned from their games. Aguni was leading the pack, weapons were held high and with pride. Ren rolled her eyes at the militants - it took them long enough to get their asses back, and she wasn't surprised to see who came back alive.
Ren swam over to where Arisu and Usagi were sitting. Aguni was standing there, stopping the militant from going any further. Ren rested her arms on the edge of the pool, glancing over at Kuina.
"You, bring that woman over." Ren pushed herself out of the water, but stopped when the gun touched her stomach. Nigari's eyes flicked to Ren, she took a step back. She knew she shouldn't get involved, but hearing Aguni speak like that, ordering Nigari to collect Usagi, she wouldn't let it happen. However, the gun said another story. Kuina tried to stop Arisu, but he continued to stand in front of Nigari.
"Our boss says he wants to have a taste of you." Nigari said to Usagi. Ren just had to stand there as Usagi was pulled up from the chair she was sitting in.
"Stop it." Arisu said, pushing Nigari's hand off of Usagi.
"What should we do about this kid?"
"Break his legs, so that he'll die in the next game." Aguni said.
Ren looked over at Kuina as she was pushed aside, nearly slipping back into the pool. Arisu went to put up a fight, but he was blocked off from Usagi. Ren cleared her throat, "I wouldn't do that if I were you," She called out, crossing her arms.
Nigari looked in her direction, he chuckled darkly. "Is that a threat?"
"He just passed his test, I doubt Hatter would want you hurting him now." Ren said. Nigari just laughed, not believing Ren. But he was going to eat his words when Takeru came down to the pool, almost like he knew something was going to happen.
"Back off, Hatter. This doesn't concern you." Aguni stated.
"I can't do that. As the Number One, I'm obliged to maintain order at the Beach. Could you let off the newcomers on my account, Aguni?" Takeru asked. Aguni went silent. "Nigari."
"I only take orders from the boss." Nigari commented.
This was the first time Ren saw Takeru and Aguni really together, when Aguni brought Ren to meet Hatter, he left shortly after giving him the card. After that, Ren was left alone with Takeru. She was curious to see how the dynamic actually was considering Aguni was Number Two.
