Sanctuary of Surasthana, Sumeru City, Sumeru
"I'm going to decline today Kaveh," you say without looking at him. "I don't think I'm ready to go out again."
"Oh… Of course I understand," Kaveh says while laughing a little.
You look at your hand clutching a crystal sword and you involuntarily wince. Memories of the past seven Samsara iterations suddenly flood your mind, causing you to drop the sword as you writhe in pain and you end up kneeling down on the floor. Kaveh kneels down beside you and you finally notice him screaming for help.
"Tammy! Someone, help!" Kaveh shouts as he scrambles to open the door while holding you as well.
Kaveh is able to open the door and shout for help while you shiver in his arms. He holds you close and takes the sword away, making sure you don't hurt yourself. Nahida and Scaramouche arrive followed by Alhaitham, who at first looks annoyed but when he sees you, he immediately kneels beside you while checking your pulse.
"I have notified Cyno to not come to the Sanctuary at all costs," Nahida says as she kneels next to you. "I saw the message in the Akasha, let's hope that it has recorded the previous one."
"Come to bed," Kaveh whispers as he carries you over.
Scaramouche remains leaning with his arm outside the door, his lips in a scowl. Alhaitham takes the sword and hands it over to Nahida, who inspects the blade. Once Kaveh has bundled you up in your soft blanket, he pats your head until you fall asleep.
You hear Alhaitham and Nahida talking quietly, just outside your closed door. You take a peek and notice that Scaramouche is seated in front of your desk, reading Rex Incognito, before pretending to sleep. You remember that you wrote details about the Samsara in its pages, which must be what Scaramouche is reading.
"I can't let them stay here," Nahida says as quietly as she can. "I need to check something within Irminsul and it's something I'm not really willing to share with a stranger, though I know they are our dear friend already. But regarding the recording in the Akasha, if they used to be in the court of King Deshret…"
"Don't fret, it's not just national security but the security of Irminsul that we are talking about," you hear Alhaitham reply in a whisper as well. "Isn't it recorded that King Deshret's relatives and descendants all suffered when he perished? That they all ended up mad and died due to the corrosion of their souls? Are we really going to trust this Al Abyad?"
"He is one of the reasons why I can't allow our friend to stay here, I need to search Irminsul for any traces of King Deshret's spare brother."
Scaramouche has been looking at your ears for some time now, seeing how it moves as you try to listen while pretending to sleep. He sets the book down and goes to open the door, stopping Alhaitham and Nahida from their discussion.
"Rabbits have very sensitive hearing," Scaramouche says quietly. "If you're going to continue discussing about the 'Bunny', then you might as well talk in front of them."
He gives you a dour look before leaving. The Archon's ears are red from embarrassment while Alhaitham just shrugs. The Acting Grand Sage enters your room before sitting beside you on the bed.
"Did you hear everything? I didn't know you were awake, I'm sorry if it looks like we're talking behind your back," Nahida says as she sits on the only chair in the room.
"It's okay," you whisper. "I'm also sorry, I didn't mean to listen to your conversation."
"It can't be helped, as Scaramouche said, you have more sensitive hearing than us."
