Treasure Street, Sumeru City, Sumeru

 "Kaveh?"

The door is slightly ajar and you slowly open it wider. Kaveh lies in the middle of his bed surrounded by huge fluffy pillows with pieces of clothes all over the floor. He is decently covered by a red silk blanket and you don't know if he's not wearing anything underneath. His red eyes stare at you as you gingerly step closer, looking straight into your very soul. You've known him for quite some time now but this is the first time you have seen him really pissed.

Kaveh slurs a little when he speaks, "You shouldn't be here."

He glances at you from head-to-toe, maybe already undressing you in his mind. You shake your head a little, trying to erase images of him and you that suddenly sprout in your imagination. The architect chuckles and bites his lip, which makes you look away.

"I just want to know if you're okay? I've never seen you so pissed."

"Don't worry about it, it's just about someone I talked to at the tavern. You need to rest and sleep since it's a big day tomorrow."

He casually combs his blonde hair off his face before lying down again on the pillows. From your point of view, he looks like a sculpture with his smooth skin and shiny blonde hair. If he isn't breathing, you will think he is indeed a sculpture. Your eyes wander from his closed eyes to his chin, down to his slender neck and exposed chest. The silky red blanket that covers his lower body makes him look really mysterious, and your intrusive thoughts want to swipe off the blanket to see if he is actually wearing nothing underneath.

You don't realize that he has been staring at you for a while now and jump in surprise when he suddenly chuckles. Kaveh sits up and the blanket shifts slightly, just enough for you to answer the question in your mind. There is also a slight smile on his lips, an invitation.

Kaveh's voice is deep and he almost whispers when he says, "If you close that door, Alhaitham will know that we will be doing something... I want you to close that door so badly, but nope, not tonight. Good night, Rabbit."

There's a part in your mind that wants to close the door right now, with Kaveh looking so hot. But you meekly nod and turn around, closing the door slowly. You see him flop back down on the pillows, his hand already reaching for his—

 "So…"

Alhaitham looks at you nervously when you pass by the living room. He has already changed into his sleepwear and his blanket and pillows are already prepared. Somehow, he can't look directly in your eyes as you walk closer to him. When he finally looks at you, he takes a deep shaky breath before patting the open space beside him. You slowly sit down, and he notices your guarded stance.

"Calm down, I'm not gonna jump on you just because you chose not to spend the night with Kaveh."

His eyes widen when you take a deep shaky breath, but he masks his reaction right away. He doesn't talk for a few minutes and you awkwardly wait for him to say something.

"Take this," he hands you an Akasha Terminal. "It's modified by me. Only you, Kaveh, and I have these terminals and both of us made it from scratch so you don't have to worry about Al Abyad getting in."

You reach out as he drops the Terminal in your hand and you continue to stare at it and it does indeed look really different from the regular Akasha Terminals. Suddenly, you feel nervous and you clench your fists above your tunic. What if the mission fails? What if the Vision is not yours? All of this planning and effort will be for nothing.

"You set your mind to do this, do not regret anything." Alhaitham whispers as if he can read your mind. His hands close above yours and you feel the cold metal of the terminal in your palm. "If the mission is too dangerous tomorrow, do not fight and just run back to Liyue if neither Kaveh or I are not responding to your messages. I have already notified Zhongli of my residence in Liyue, he will know what to do."
