You Are Stabbed

Sanctuary of Surasthana, Sumeru City, Sumeru

Nahida, Cyno, Kaveh, and Alhaitham all stand around the dining table, each thinking of a way to exit the Samsara. It's been 7 days now and Sumeru shouldn't be in a Samsara just a few weeks after the first one. The Archon's brow is furrowed in concentration.

You have tried running away with Kaveh to Port Ormos, going out to meet the winged guy earlier, staying cooped up inside your room (which was the worst), and even not doing anything at all. Everything ends with the winged guy taking you, and you wake up to talking with Kaveh in your room.

"This Samsara must be using a different way to reset," Alhaitham says as he sits beside you. "Which is unusual because the brain needs to be in sync before, when they used the Samsara to harvest power from dreams and when the Traveler was fighting the false god. The second one was created with Lesser Lord Kusanali's power so she knows how to end it."

The Acting Grand Sage crosses his arms over and stares at you, deep in thought. Kaveh then sits on your other side, handing you a mug of hot chocolate. They sit in silence, and you keep quiet as well. Nahida already told you details about the two previous Samsaras, the first one when the Sages used it to harvest power from dreams and the second one with the First Sage of Buer's fight against Scaramouche's god form.

You take the warm mug in your hands and take a small sip, letting the sweet liquid warm you up inside. Kaveh nonchalantly wipes off some chocolate on the side of your lips, before sucking his thumb. Alhaitham sees this and he takes the mug of hot chocolate away, drinking the rest in one gulp. Kaveh angrily stares at him, which he returns with a nod.

"I found it," Nahida whispers as her eyes glow in fascination, "The only thing constant in this Samara."

All of you turn to look at her when she points at Cyno, the Mahamatra shrugs his shoulders in confusion.

"You always come at the same time."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Since you always come at the same time, even if they don't come out of their room or when they run out of the room," Alhaitham says as he looks over some notes. "Lesser Lord Kusanali, how will we be able to stop this though if Cyno will always come from outside?"

"Hey, I also come here too!" Kaveh interrupts, "Why is the Samsara not connected to me?"

"It's because when they ran outside in one of the previous Samsara, you followed them but they said Cyno just passed them by to come here."

"Yes, and didn't they say that there was one iteration that they came with you to Port Ormos instead and you died," Alhaitham points out, "You were pierced in your stomach with the winged man's sword, too."

"Why do you sound like you enjoyed that thought?"

"I don't enjoy thinking about your death," Alhaitham says with a slight smirk.

"I hate you," Kaveh sighs.

Cyno interrupts, "Well, since you think I'm the core of the Samsara, what do we need to do to end this?"

Nahida is pouring herself some hot chocolate as well and she takes a sip before answering him, "I'm going to contact you tomorrow to not come. Everything has been recorded to Irminsul so I will be able to warn you. But now, we wait for our guest to arrive."

Cyno finally sits down and he starts discussing TCG cards with Kaveh, their banter similar to the previous Samsaras. Alhaitham is reading a book, you don't know where he got it though. You fidget your fingers in silence, knowing that Nahida is observing you.
