Liam and I had finally sifted through the mountains of e-mails that I had ignored over the past month which now made a time crunch. I glanced through the list of dress designers Alexander McQueen and The Emmanuelles were crossed off, I wanted someone different. I the circled the two who naturally seemed like a good idea. Jenny Peckhan or Vivviane Westwood. Thinking back I was liking more of Jenny designs, okay I had decided. While i was on campus on the Friday I pulled Melissa to her dorm.
"Rory!" she examined "That hurt."
"I'm sorry, but you'll forgive me in a minute." she stared at me confused and I pulled a small box out of my bag handing it to her. That baffled her even more "Open it." she did so. I was a chocolate chip cookie with Will you be apart of my wedding?'
"What?"
"Theres the tradition that the bridal party are made up of young bridesmaids and page boys. But you are like a sister to me. Which is why I would like you to sing during the service. Be one of the many favourite parts of my wedding" I explained my request. Tears began to well up in her eyes "Will you?"
"Roe, like you have to ask." she pulled me into a tight embrace and I laughed

It was seven in the morning and Lucille arrived for a month crash course catch up. Liam opened the door and Lucille stepped in.
"Lucille thank you for coming. I'm sorry I've been absent for the past month." I held my hand out and she shook it
"Mr William explained. I'm glad to see your in better spirts. Are you ready for todays crash course?"
"Yes." I stated with conviction
"Brilliant." She turned on her heels and went to the door whistling really loudly. "Apologies, I'm about to take over your house." Movers carried in everything from coolers to assortment of flowers, even types of dresses and page boy outfits. When they were gone we sat down at the dining room table. Lucille took the covers off everything while she talked.
"So I have been busy this past month, making calls, aranging samples and talking with members of your family. Her Majesty in particular. We are going to use this day to get back on track. Thankfully the two of you have picked out designers for your suit and dress. Mr William i've booked you into a hotel nearby for your suit discussions while miss Aurora will be meeting Ms Peckham here. Yes all of that is happening today" There were dozens of cake samples.
"What with all the cake?" I ask pointing to it
"Well your grandmother said the traditional wedding cake was fruit cake. But then your father also mentioned that ever since you were little you became severely unwell having that kind. So in a brake with royal tradition and to save your from falling ill. I have brought cake samples for you to try. We have the reception menu, your father is hosting a evening celebration. Guest list so the invitations can be sent out to each event. Flowers, bridal and groom party as well as their attire. Even reception entertainment, honey moon."
"Okay, got it." I say "My bridal party is simple party of two. I've spoken to my Aunt Sophie and asked my cousins Louise and James to be my bridesmaid and Page boy. Melissa is going to sing for us during the wedding."
"My sister Daisy, Roe's brothers and Catherine are going to read something out as well." Liam added.
"Fantastic. Would you mind starting with the guest list so I can send that around." She moved the keyboard out of her case so that she could type out. From there while the cake retained to room temperature we started with the most obvious of family then to friends and close people and finally on to officials. It came to 1,700 people, from that we narrowed it down to 600 from the wedding breakfast. And finally 250 people for the evening reception. That took about three hours to do. And that was with tea breaks and snacks.
"Okay, the menu for the wedding breakfast after, any thoughts?"
"Can't we do cake first. I'm hungry." Liam asks and I chuckle
"Okay, cake can make you think about food." she agrees "I asked around family and friends on both sides to come up with a composite of five cakes or in this cupcakes made my three different vendors."
"15 Pieces of cake, that us hanging over the loo for the rest of the evening." I mutter to my fiancée, who snickers. We started with chocolate sponge each taking a bite. I hummed, chocolate was always my preferred choice for birthday cakes.
"That's nice." we commented
"Light, yet rich." Liam mumbled and we then went onto the second and my nose screeched up
"That is dense, ugh." I gulped down water to wash it away "No thank you."
"Yeah she's right." we tried the third and both of us spat that back out. Un lady like I know but that was far from chocolate cake you can get. This is how it went till we had it narrowed down to one vendor but 3 cakes.
I cannot eat another bite, i physically feel sick." Liam groaned resting his head on my shoulder.
"Yeah, ugh."
"We've still got the menu to go. I needed this planned last week." Lucille looked like she was gonna cry so i slapped Liam's chest and pushed his head off my shoulder.
"Up and at em actor. We got more food to talk about." He huffed out a breath and went to wash his face "I like chicken." Liam! What about chicken?"
"Chicken is good." he set down glasses of water for us and I had some. We then we through what we liked and came up with a menu.
"Oh for the evening reception. I just had an idea." I voice "What about we have all three as cup cakes with the chocolate one's but then go with the sponge cake with cream and fresh strawberries?" I ask Liam who thought about it
"Not bad." he nodded
"I will let them know, thankfully the food part is over with." Liam and I raised our hands in a silent cheer. "Flowers."
"They have to contain myrtle and forget me not's. Mytrle is a long tradition and forget me nots were Mom's favourite." Lucille nodded noting that down "Mine and Louise's are dainty like Catherines."
"White roses they're my mothers favourite." Liam added and I nodded
"Lily of the valley are a popular amount our family."
"Fantastic. I brought some sample dresses and page boy outfits." she gestured to the rail and I stepped forward flicking through the dresses I stopped and went back one picking it out. This seemed very Louise to me.
"This and...." I flipped through page boy outfits stopping at one "This." I held both options up and yet again it was noted down
