I heard a door slam shut, and rolled my eyes. I put on a fake smile, and went to greet my daughter.
M: Hi sweetie. How was your day?
L: Good, I guess.
Lisa replied with a smirk.
M: Well go up and start on that homework. Ok?
L: (eye roll) Whatevs mom.
She stumped up the stairs, then slammed the door, and I quickly go to work, making her favorite food, breakfast burritos. I add tons of laxatives, and triple the amount of sleeping pills. Her father came in, and I winked at him. He nodded smirking, and then called Lisa down for dinner.
