Cole and I decided to meet in front of the school. I tapped my feet along with the rhythm of the music playing through my headphones. I looked around to see that he wasn't in sight.

Is he not coming? I was starting to feel a bit agitated, ten minutes had already past. One of my greatest pet peeves were when people were late. I mean, what's good about wasting your time waiting for someone else to come? Your literally punishing yourself due to someone else's mistake.

This was the second time I would see him since the whole Daniel and Nicole situation and believe it or not, I was nervous. I wasn't sure why, but the thought of being with him made my heart race a bit.

Finally the brunet boy came in view, he looked absolutely beat up. I was shocked when I saw the newly made bruises. No wonder he wasn't at school today, I didn't see him at all.

The only way we communicated was through text.

I had thought Cole was unbeatable when it came to fights but the bruises proved that there was someone that was at the same level as Cole.

Who was this person, I pondered.

As he came closer I could make out his cut lip and he had a bruise growing on his cheek. I slightly gasped as everything came clear in view. He seemed to be emotionless as he walked towards me. I ran towards him, when I put my hand on his face he winced.

"What happened!" I exclaimed as I examined his condition.

He grunted in response and pushed my hand away from his face. It seemed as though he didn't want to talk about it. It was as if he didn't really want me to see him in this state. Besides, I wasn't the type to pry onto other peoples business.

"Well if your fine then I guess that's okay."

Cole looked at me surprised, probably because I didn't pry into his business. He smiled lightly and walked even closer to me. I felt from that moment that something clicked and that he had opened up to me a bit more.

I casually changed the topic to something else, "okay then why don't we start with the basics."

I pulled out a camera from the camera bag that was strapped to my side. It was a regular camera with a pretty decent lens. It was the schools camera; I had borrowed it from the tech room. After all I wasn't going to let him use mine - I had spent so much money on my lens.

I explained to him, the basic buttons and uses of the camera. Although he seemed to be quite distracted, I kept talking. Plus his mark didn't affect mine, he could just randomly take pictures and it wouldn't impact me. However, I was frustrated. What was he thinking about. I was curious, I mean he was pretty mysterious.

I cleared my throat, "do you get it now?"

He seemed to snap out of his daze and looked at me with confusion. Once he realized that hadn't listened to my whole explanation, he just nodded. He probably didn't care about his marks anyways.

We began walking around the park because it was easy to take pictures here. There were flower patches, trees, cotton candy stations, kids running around.

If he actually listened he could've taken an action shot - the teacher would've been impressed.

Whatever his grades not mine, I reminded myself. But I couldn't help but feel odd in my chest, I don't know why but I wanted to help him. Which was rare since I wasn't a peoples person and I hated helping others.
