We both stepped in the largely spaced office. All around me I could see the shiny football trophies stocked up on the mahogany shelves. They were a pride to Kingston, we were basically champions when it came to sports, especially Football. Our principal cherished the football team like his own child. If a member got in trouble then the principal would give them the lesser punishment. Which was absolutely unfair.

The principal sat down at his desk, tapping the wooden surface with his rough, bulky fingers. He ran his other hand through his almost nonexistent hair. Me and the guy sat down on the chairs that were in front of the desk.

We both awkwardly sat there, I fiddled with our finger's and waited for him to speak. The guy on the other hand acted bored as if he went through this every day.

"Mr. Kingston and Miss Lucero, don't worry you guys are not in trouble." The principal first said. Although, I wasn't expecting to be in trouble, I sighed in relief.

"I would just like to say, Riley Lucero you are such a lovely student. Our school Valley height's is honored to have you attending here. Also your photography portfolio is amazing," He commented.

I looked at him oddly, why the hell was he giving me a compliment. After all the principal probably didn't give two shits about photography. His mind was only on football. There was something up with this whole situation.

"Anyways back to business, I'm here today because Mr. Cole Kingston here doesn't have an art credit and as you know Ms. Riley Lucero that to graduate you need a arts credit." I nodded my head as I listened. Then my blood went cold.

Did I just hear Cole Kingston in the same sentence as my name? I looked over to see that indeed the Cole was beside of me. This was my first time actually being pretty close to him. He looked so much better up close which seemed quite impossible considering his visuals were great from a far.

"Therefore me and the staff had decided that Cole here should try to go into photography. Since you are one of our best student's we thought you can tutor him."

Oh fuck no. I was not tutoring Cole in photography. Besides he probably didn't give two shits about the subject,  he could honestly just take random picks and get a B since his dad was so rich. Our photography teacher was such a sleaze.

I looked over at my side to see Cole giving a menacing glare at our principal. Though the principal seemed oblivious.

"It isn't exactly tutoring more like looking after him. Since it is near the middle of this semester and he missed a few projects, I was wondering if you could help him."

I shook my head, I wasn't going to be spending my precious time babysitting a delinquent. No matter how hot or interesting.

"If you take this wonderful offer Miss. Lucero than you will get our schools full recommendation on your university application and I will talk to the university personally," He convinced me. He raised his eyebrows and he knew that I couldn't resist such an offer.

Oh how I loathe you, I thought.

I've been begging for a recommendation for a long time and I really did need it no matter what.

However, I first asked the principal almost a year ago. He brings it up now? What a filthy ass. I never knew our principal was a manipulative, rude human being.

"Fine," I said. I looked at Cole to see him frowning slightly, I should've said no. I shook my head in disbelief and looked back at the principal.

He clapped his hands in joy, "Great! You guys will start today. Miss. Riley you just need to teach him the basics and help him create a full portfolio to show the teacher. Mr. Kingston, you will attend every single class and listen to Riley."

He just sat there with a blank face, not responding.

"Alright, get out now." He scooted us out of his office. Both of us stood up from our seats and walked towards the exit. I opened the door and walked through, down the office and into the halls.

When we were out, I looked at him. "So what time are you available?" I asked him, he didn't pay attention to me and zoned out. His hands were placed in his pockets and he seemed to be looking at the space above me.

I took this precious time to admire his physical qualities like his face. His jawline was so perfect. I guess you could say i've never seen anyone this hot in my life, which was impressive considering I had dated Daniel.

His biceps too, I reminded myself. Thinking back to the office.

Than I got myself out of the trance.

"Hello, what time?" I asked him once more, he blinked slowly and turned his gaze over to me.

               He grunted and shrugged.

I sighed, "can you please reply." I was starting to get fed up with his silence because I really wanted that recommendation. It would get me reassurance that I would get into the university of my preference. Honestly, I was a bit scared, talking to Cole like this. After all, he was the school's delinquent. But whatever, I was Riley, I was never scared.

He looked at me, his eyes flashing some unknown expression. Alas he did not reply.

Finally I got super fed up.

I tapped my foot in frustration, "okay bud, I don't know about you but some people need to work hard to achieve things. Right now my goal is to get into my dream university and to do that, I need a recommendation. So what time?" I asked exasperatedly.

We made eye contact and with a sigh he looked up at the sky. As if he were pondering, then after a few moments he spoke.

He flexed his muscles,"The day after tomorrow?" He raised his right eyebrow. I looked at him in surprise, this was the most I've ever heard him speak. Also he was very nice to me at the moment. He actually listened to what I said.

I gave him a smile, "cool."

We both nodded at each other and walked opposite directions. Oddly, my heart couldn't help but beat fast.

               Whatever.

Short but it introduces our friend Cole!
