"Riley! Come down here," my mom screamed. I rolled my eyes at her tone of voice and ran down the stairs.
I could see her holding a covered tray of lasagna, the smell seeped into my nose. Smells so good, lasagna was my favorite. Especially my mom's, she was a genius in the kitchen while I sucked. It was odd, I gained absolutely zero of her cooking talent.
I tried making oatmeal once and it turned into a solid rock. In the end I couldn't take it off the pan and had to throw it out. Which was bad considering that the pan was my mom's baby and it cost over a hundred dollars.
I had just come from school and I was devastatingly tired and I couldn't wait to dig my hands into the wonderful dish.
"Could you give these to the Collins household?" She asked me with a smile. I looked at her oddly, she did not just say that. Sadly to say, due to me and Daniel dating, my mom and Daniel's mom became best friends. This sucked because even though we broke up, our mom's still hung out.
"That's my ex boyfriends house mom, no way in hell am I going there." I reported with my arms crossed. Does my mom really think that I would deliver lasagna to me ex boyfriends house?
"Besides, why can't you go instead," I demanded. My mom was free, she had a car, she had legs, she was one hundred percent capable of going to Daniels house.
"Because i'm your mom and you'll do what I say," my commanded. I rolled my eyes, that wasn't even a good argument.
"Besides, are you still hung up on him?" She asked me. My mouth dropped, she was the worst mom ever.
"Mom it's been a month, of course I'm still hung up on him!" My mom was the most stupidest person in the world. Though I loved her and all, I've always thought she's a teenager stuck in a thirty two year old's body. Well, she did give birth to me when she was sixteen which really add's to it.
My mom basically got pregnant during her first time because my "dad" wasn't careful enough. Long story short, he was an ass and he ran away.
"Stop bring such a baby child, I raised a strong women. Not a wimp who can't even talk to her ex boyfriend," my mom stated.
I huffed, "I'm not afraid to talk to him mom. I don't want to give him lasagna!" My mom looked at me in confusion. Her hands were on her hips and she was wearing a dirty apron.
"What do you mean?"
I shrugged, "your lasagna taste good. My ex boyfriend is bad, therefore I don't think it's logic to give a bad person something good."
My mom thought for a moment, "I said Collins family not only Daniel."
I looked at her blankly, "so?"
"His whole family can't suffer because of him," my mom explained. When I thought about it she was right. But still, it's their fault for raising a dick of a son.
"but - "
My mom cut me off, "just give it to them. Holy shit Riley." My mom rarely swears and when she does, it usually meant that she was frustrated and borderline angry.
Which meant I should probably back off and do what she says.
Whatever, giving Daniels family lasagna wasn't so bad. I mean Cheryl Collins was a nice women and so was the dad.
