{TW: Blood, Torture}
Third Person POV:
Will stormed through the castle hallways, his glare was the very embodiment of hatred. Any and all people in his way pale and back up, not wanting to cross the angry prince.
"Mike was kidnapped by the pirates!" Max exclaims, waving her arms in panic. "We need help! We already asked everyone we know!"
His left eye twitched as he burst into the throne room. Thankfully, only his parents and a few advisors were inside.
Seeing the look on Will's face, Hopper waved the advisors away.
"What's wrong, Will?" Joyce asks, concerned.
Will exhaled, calming down as much as he can. "I need your help," He says. "I.. have a certain friend." He says carefully. Joyce frowns while Hopper raises an eyebrow. "He's been kidnapped, and we don't know how to get him back."
"Who's the friend that's been kidnapped?" Joyce says.
"His name is Mike," Will says. "He's.. not from here, but we became friends and now he's gone. I really need your help."
Hopper leaned forward. "Who's kidnapped him?" He asks.
Will bit his lip, before sighing. "The pirates who you let into the kingdom," he says. Joyce and Hopper sat up urgently, exchanging a glance.
"They kidnapped one of our civilians?!" Hopper shouts, his voice thundering across the room.
"No.. Not exactly.." Will says. "Um, Mike, he.. he's a mermaid."
Joyce gasps. "You met a mermaid?!" She almost shrieks. "Oh my god, are you alright? See I knew the pirates would do some good for once." She nods.
"No! Mom, your not listening to me!" Will says. "Mike is my friend, and he's been taken by the pirates."
"You're defending a mermaid?" Hopper question. "Have you been spelled?"
Will let out a groan, rubbing his face. "No." He says.
"Then why are you defending a monster?" Joyce asks, sounding appalled and scared.
"Mike isn't a monster!" Will exclaims. "He and I have been talking a while, and I know he isn't dangerous. We need to help him or he'll be killed!"
Hopper glared down at his son. "Guards, take the Prince back to his room and keep him there," he says.
"No!" Will yells. "You need to listen! The pirates are going to kill him if you don't help him! Please!"
The guards grab Will by his arms roughly.
"Don't worry, the spell will wear off and you'll be back to normal." Joyce says as Will struggles against the guards grips. "Just go back to your room."
"Get off me!" Will says, before glaring at his parents. "Please, you need to help him."
The guards pull him out of the throne room and drag him back to his quarters. He gives them both a glare at the close the door, clicking it into a lock. He lets out an annoyed yell of fury. I should've known they weren't going to listen. Will thought.
A knock came from the window and Will turned to see Dustin on the balcony.
"You- How did you get there?" Will questions.
Dustin shrugs, entering the room. "The princess helped me get up here, and told me to get you down." He says. "She seemed upset, so we should get down as soon as possible."
