Third Person POV:

"I'm still not sure about this," Joyce says, fidgeting with her fingers.

Will laughs. "You've been saying that since I told you we scheduled it," He says. He was practically bouncing with excitement.

The royal family was in a carriage on their way to a meet up spot. Two weeks ago, Mike and Will had scheduled a meeting between Will's family and Mike's pod, which thankfully both sides agreed on.

After Will and Jane were rescued by the pirates, Will explained everything to his parents, with both Jane and Jonathan backing him up. Hopper and Joyce were still wary, but they decided it was okay to meet.

Will told his family to dress as casually as they could, because they were meeting mermaids who didn't dress up at all.

So, he was wearing his normal outfit he would meeting with Mike, Jane was wearing a simple summer dress with flower prints, Jonathan was wearing a regular T-shirt and pants, Joyce was wearing a simple pale yellow dress, and Hopper was wearing a regular T-shirt and pants as well.

To say Will was excited would be a huge understatement. He hadn't stopped grinning since they got in the carriage.

"We're almost there," Will says, looking out the carriage window.

Soon, the carriage slowed to a stop and the family go out, and entered the large area.

There were two cliffs on either side of them, with the ocean in front, which made it the best meet up spot between humans and mermaids. At least, that Mike and Will could find on such short notice. Will led his family down the small hill, and they stopped about fifteen feet from the water.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Joyce questions. Hopper narrowed his eyes at the horizon.

Will nods, staring out at the water as well. They only had to wait a few moments, before he started seeing mermaids popping their heads above the water. Almost all of them looked nervous.

Then Mike popped his head above the water, and transformed into a human to rush to the shore.

Will rushed forward as well, and the two enveloped in a hug. "Hi," Mike whispers into Will's shoulder, and Will could hear the smile in his voice.

"Hi," Will replies, and they pull away for a moment. Then he turned and looked at his family.

Mike smiles as Will gently pulls him over to his family, and his smile turns more polite when he looks at them.

"Mom, Dad, this is Mike," Will says, gesturing at Mike. "Mike, this is my mom and dad."

Joyce gives Mike a once over. "How old are you.. um, Mike?" Joyce questions, giving him a strained smile.

Mike blinks, confused by the question. "Um, well, I'll be fifteen soon," He says.

"Ah.." Joyce says. "And you count years like humans do?"

Will lets out a laugh, horribly disguising it as a cough. Mike stares at Joyce, confused. "Um.. Yes?" He asks. "I'm not fifteen thousand years old, if that's what you're thinking."

"Oh, alright," Joyce asks. "And how did you meet my son?"

Mike bites his lip. "Well, I had a fight with my mother and swam up to the surface, and then swam into a pond," He explains. "Then Will appeared, and I got scared and swam away." He nods. "Yup."

"Do you have any plans of killing my son?" Hopper questions.

Mike looks at him and chuckles slightly, rubbing the back of his neck. "No, I don't want to kill Will," He says. "That would be really stupid of me."
