Im disturbed from my slumber by a loud siren like sound. I get off the bed in a hurry and rush to the door, I pull it open to find guards rushing up and down some yelling instructions, something about the dungeons. I start walking down the hall towards the stairs and the guards continue running up and down like they do not see me at all.

What in the goddess's name is going on?

I feel like yelling that to one the guards but taking a note that nobody would even pay attention to a short fairy throwing a tantrum. I hastily walk down the stairs to find a deserted house. I walk towards the kitchen expecting to see servants and maids busy with their business but it looks empty too. That is until I spot a familiar figure perched on the kitchen island slowly sipping coffee.

She's wearing a robe, a black one this time, her long fingers draw slow patterns on the surface of the cup. As if she senses my presence she looks up and her green eyes sweep over my body and finally lands on my face. I feel the energy again, the electric vibrations in the air like a powerful spell gone wrong, like magic, dark magic. As if she notices my observant gaze she blinks rapidly and plaster her signature smile.

"Good morning sleepy heard" her voice like a hissing snake before it spits venom.

"What are you?" The words tumble out of my mind unexpected, in a whisper but the look on her face says she heard me. She blinks again her smile never fading.

"What do you mean? I'm a she wolf" she giggles, but the sound toxic to my ears.

"Anyways you should make yourself some breakfast since everyone's out" she says sipping her coffee.

"Where's everyone?" I decide to play along. I really had to find out more about this Hebe woman. There's something dangerously wrong about her. Her innocent façade is good I can give her that but I'm pretty sure she knew that I know that she was, is hiding something. The way her resolve melts for a milli second whenever I look at her is proof of that.

"There's been an incident in the dungeons. The women are in the safe house and most males are with Lycidas  and the search party." She answers dismissive. If the woman were in the safe house what was she doing here? I furrow my brows in confusion.

"So why aren't you at the safe house with the women?" She blinks at me again. The action reminding me of the times Emily would insist on doing my makeup, I hated every single second of it, one time she said she was doing my eyeliner and I blinked so much that everything got ruined even the mascara she had previously "done to perfection" she had said.

"And leave you all alone in the house? No. Plus I'm a warrior Melony , I know how to defend myself I don't need to hide away in the safe house." she replies snapping me out of my day dream. Goddess what is with this woman calling me names! I'm really starting to think she's doing it on purpose.

Something about the way she said her first sentence doesn't sit well with me. Why wouldn't she leave me alone in the house? It isn't like me and her had kept each other company before.

"Right" is all I say before I decide that any second longer with this woman will end up with her dangling mid air. That seems to be my signature move this days. My feet carry me towards the door, my pace is fast and frantic that I almost trip over my own two feet.

"Where are you going?" Hebe's annoying voice happens to reach my ears before I walk out the house following the guards and other men who I assumed were warriors. I walk barefeet on the soft grass and if I wasn't so curious to find out what's going on, I would have enjoyed the feeling. I continue to walk passing by the training grounds and heading for the thick trees again. This long walk seem to tire me and I choose to fly instead. I stop in my tracks and draw in a large breath feeling like the earth beneath my feet is humming with the wind that caress my bare cheeks, I focus on my energy and let it consume me before letting my wings out. They spread with a flapping sound and drag behind me while I stand before they lift me off the ground. I haven't let my babies out for many moons, it almost feels like I'm flying for the first time. I don't go up too high as I keep my eyes on the ground following a small trail through the forest.
