Of Wings And Claws

CHAPTER 14

"Melody you have to stop this now. I don't want to hurt you" I hear Lycidas'  distant voice say.

It is raining hard now. I stand on the ground with my face tilted towards the sky, raindrops falling mercilessly on my face. I don't mind though, in actual fact, the rain brings a sense of peace.

"You already did alpha." I answer lowly, still not looking at them. I feel them around me, they formed a circle and I am in the middle. I can still feel the effects of the iron they are weaving around, but they don't know that it won't have that much effect on me, not when I'm outside surrounded by nothing but nature.

I dig my feet in the mud and feel it against my bare feet and I swear I feel it vibrate. I raise my hands towards the skies with my palms open.

"Melody, surrender now and we will talk like adults and figure things out" Lycidas yells again. But I don't answer, I don't want to, I don't have to. My actions will answer on my behalf.

I start swirling my hands in round motions, the wind picks up around me making a whirlwind. The faster I swirl them, the faster and bigger the whirlwind grows.

I can hear Lycidas shouting again but I can't make out what he is saying, not that I care.

I let out a loud laugh when  I make a push motion and the whirlwind rolls towards Lycidas, towards the house.
"You will pay. You will all pay!" I roar, my voice sounding like a thousand cries.

"No!" I hear him roar before I feel an iron chain being secured around my neck. I feel the skin around my neck burn. I let out a scream attempting to claw it off my neck.

Instead of the chain getting loose when I struggle it digs dipper into my skin until I start to feel faint and my chest to tighten. Black dots start dancing around my vision and before I collapse on the wet grass below me, I blow into my palm and whisper one last word that sends the whirlwind straight at the pack house.

When I wake up I don't expect to be greeted by light. The first thing I feel is hunger, I am famished. With my stomach grumbling I quickly get up and almost scream when a force sends me back to the bed on my back. That is when I notice that I'm chained to the bed with iron handcuffs, ouch!.

I couldn't even notice the pain until now. I groan feeling like I might faint again. The iron really did its job.

"Lycidas you airhead get me out of these. Is this what you meant when you said you're willing to change!" I scream at the top of my lungs while struggling on the bed.

"That was before you almost killed my beta, third and I. Before you wrecked havock and destroyed my pack house into pieces. Tell me Miss Belle, which part of me will make me want to change for a person like that?. A deep voice says next to me and I almost fall off the bed in terror. I didn't even notice I wasn't alone in the room. Damn! This iron must be really messing with my head.

We are in Lycidas' room, it's dark and that's probably why I couldn't notice him lurking in the shadows. All the curtains are shut close and besides Lycidas flickering eyes, there's no light in the room. His eyes keeps changing from black to gold.

"So I'm the problem now huh?" I laugh lowly. "Maybe I should just leave you here. Chained to the bed, come up when I need to feed you. Or maybe put my pup in that little belly of yours, then you'll learn to respect me, you'll learn to respect my people."

All the hunger and tiredness I felt vanishes. "You will rape me?" My voice comes out as sob. I can't believe this, I can't believe my ears. In actual fact, I can't believe I'm bound to a monster.

"It is not rape baby girl. We would be just finishing the bonding ritual, afterall we are fated right?" He chuckles darkly. The energy in the room could make a pregnant woman go into labor. Lycidas' whole demour just screams danger.
