Two moons go by quickly and the tightening of my chest everytime I see the lord alpha and Hebe's often public display of affection is something I would never wish on my greatest enemy. They walk around the pack holding hands, Hebe giggling like a school girl whenever she notices that I was looking and clutching my beloved with her claws.

I lay in my bed reading the book I took from the library. The night has settled and a beautiful crescent shaped moon hangs from the sky.

The wind from my window blowing softly against my bare legs. I'm in one of Ariel's huge shirts that I had politely 'borrowed' from him.

Witches are secretive creatures, very manipulative even more so than unseelie court faes.
I roll my eyes at that. There was no way my kind was more manipulative than witches, not to sound biased here but have you met those creatures.

In ancient witch history, ancient witches who were powerful coven leaders would disguise themselves as other creatures. They knew powerful dark magic and knew how to cast powerful masking scent spells. Havina, a powerful witch coven leader had the  power to make a blood bound. A blood bound is a ritual perfomed using black magic to bind multiple supernaturals into one hybrid. Only Havina could perform this ritual, once she helped a werewolf  bind with two other creatures, since a blood bound was against supernatural law -still is, Havina disappeared after being cast out of her coven and stripped of her title, never to be seen again. Ancient rumor has it that she wondered off to no man's land where guilt slowly ate her and was finished off by guardians.

Gears turn in my head from the new information.

If ancient witches could disguise themselves as other creatures, did that mean morden witches could too?.
I mean it could be passed down with generations.

And the book said—

"Reading ancient folklore, I see" I'm not only frightened by the sudden appearance of a voice inside my room when I knew very well I had locked my door, it's the fact that I knew the owner of the voice isn't supposed to be here  ,in my room, and certainly not in lord Lycidas' territory.

"This isn't folklore. What are you doing here?" I sit up straight from the bed.

"I told you I would be back in two days" the word sounding foreign as it comes out of his mouth, days. Ehh.

"Oh right, did I agree to our appointment?"

The daywalker just chuckles making himself comfortable on an armchair.
"I understand we didn't have any appointment Ms Bell, but I'm a man without patience. I only want to help you get out because trust me, what you've seen of Lycidas so far is nothing compared to what he'll do once he finds out who you really are"

That has me confused.

"What do you mean, who I really am. I'm a fairy, lord Lycidas already knows that"

"Oh but darling, he doesn't know who your parents are and if I remember very well you, yourself don't even know who your parents are. But I can assure you, the moment Lycidas finds out about that, seeing him and Hebe sucking the life out of each other would be the least of your worries"  I look at him urging him to continue.

"Your head will be severed from your body in a matter of seconds" he concludes brushing non existent dirt on his jacket.

"Do you know my parents?" A lump glogs my throat and I swallow painfully.

"I did know them, everyone does even Lycidas"

For the upteenth time this evening, I'm confused, or rather shocked at this new profound information. If the lord alpha knew my parents, that means many of the pack members do.
