Sofia's POV

"...Umm.... could I put my clothes back on now?" Faye asks innocently. I feel bad for this girl, she ended up being in the wrong place at the wrong time, just like me and Rue.

"Only if you want to" the dude who put a gun in Fezco's face joked. "I'll go get the kid" the blonde one laughed and walked off to retrieve Ashtray from the closet.

Laurie suddenly came from the hallway, dragging a blue suitcase behind her and placing it on the kitchen table in front of us. "So, y'all ready to do some business?" she asked casually.

Ashtray looked at Fez before reaching into his black duffel bag and pulling out 2 stacks. He handed the money to Fez who replied "yes ma'am" before dropping the money on the table. Laurie took the money, signaling that we were free to take the suitcase and leave.

Rue kept talking about how crazy it was on the ride back. I just wanted to cut off my ears, but she kept going anyway.

"And that lady, let me just say she is a fucking gangster" said Rue. I wasn't sure if I wanted to roll my eyes or sink into my seat. How isn't she traumatized? I knew that Fez got into shit but not that type of shit. I shouldn't even be surprised considering what he told me about Mouse. I shouldn't be shocked at all.

"She's a fuckin gangster I mean, they all work for her-" "Yo why you acting like that shit was fun Rue? For real, you pissin me off!" Fezco raised his voice at her, cutting her off.

Rue was silent at first, but then I saw her smirking. Lmao this bitch 😭 "Actin dumb as fuck right now... God damn. All smilin and laughing at that shit" he continued, only making her laugh more.

"You know half of that shit was your fault too! Fuckin around, actin stupid" Fez kept going. "I'm just saying, serious question" Rue spoke up again. I can already tell it's about to be some dumb shit.

"How many female drug dealers do you know?" she asked, a brief silence afterwards. "Good ones?" Fez asked in a more quiet tone. "Yes" Rue responded. "One." Rue smiled and then said "Exactly."

(New Years Party)

I found myself sitting on the couch with Fez, who ended up being Devin's replacement for the night. Apart of me was grateful to have more time with him after all that crazy stuff went down earlier... the other part of me couldn't stop thinking about Cassie.

I don't actually love Devin but that doesn't mean I don't care. He literally fucked my sister's best friend and then ghosted me. Real smooth moves...

Everything was falling apart and right into place at the same time. I know I would catch her stupid ass at this party.

Lexi introduced me and Rue to Elliot, who she had been flirting with all night. Rue already seemed to know who Elliot was... which is strange, I never heard of him. They must have met tonight somewhere at this party while I was off dancing with Kat and Jewels. Lexi really seemed to like him a lot, though. So I decided to play nice.

After some time passed, I was back alone with Fez again sitting on the couch. I took a moment for myself, enjoying the silence between us and sipping on my drink. I've been drinking a lot less ever since I've been with him, he prefers smoking and it was rubbing off on me.

There was never an awkward silence, either. Just a shared appreciation for the peace between us despite all the chaos in both of our lives. Still, I kept wondering where Devin was. My "boyfriend" is missing and I'm at a party, part of me secretly wishing he wouldn't even show up. How disgusting of a person can I be?
