Check-up

"What happened to your neck?" Layla asked Aurora, who was laughing at a scene she had seen on the TV. "I got stabbed," Aurora replied, looking at her face to see her reaction. Layla gasps in shock, both hands on her mouth. "How did that happen?" She asked, removing her hands from her mouth.

Aiden looked at her, also expecting an explanation. "I got lost in a dangerous environment and I witnessed a crime, so one of them caught me and stabbed my neck before I ran away." She explained. Layla gaped again, "Don't you think you should call the police and report it?" She asked, looking both at Aiden and Aurora.

Aurora was on the verge of agreeing, but Aiden interrupted. "Doing that doesn't seem like a good idea to me," Aiden disagreed.

Layla shot him a death glare. Folding her arms, she laid her back on the couch while staring at the TV with a dull face.

Aurora wondered why the sudden mood swings of Layla. Suddenly, there was a knock, all their heads turned to the door, wondering who it could be. Aiden got up to check the door this time around.

"Who the fuck are you?" Came the voice from outside when he opened the door. Aiden wore a puzzled expression on his face, "I should be asking you that question." Aiden replied.

Aurora and Layla recognized the voice, Aurora got up and went to the door. There they were, Damien and Xavier, Damien's eyes directed to Aurora's figure "You got a bad taste in boyfriends," Damien told Aurora who was confused about why they were here. Xavier's face dropped a bit while expecting Aurora to oppose what he said.

"He is my brother." Aurora clarified that they were siblings "Hmm, it seems that the unattractiveness appears to be a family trait," Damien murmured loud enough for her to hear.

"Sorry for what he said. I came to check up on you and give you chocolates.Here."Xavier apologized while handing her the chocolates, as Aurora was about to receive the chocolate it was snatched from Xavier's hands by Layla.

"How did you know she wasn't feeling well?!"Layla asked her voice raised in anger.

"They took care of me last night," Aurora answered the question that wasn't directed to her. One of Layla's eyebrows raised, and she chortled thinking it was all a joke.

"You are joking right?"Layla asked her, Aurora stood there not knowing what to say."You heard her, we took care of her when you guys were fast asleep."Damien spoke, he was leaning on the wall bouncing a marble he found on the floor.

"That doesn't mean you have to be mean."Aiden told him."Guy chill, my baby brother just came to check up on her."Damien replied. Xavier signed, he hated when he referred to him as a baby brother.

"Then what are you doing here?"Aurora asked him looking at him.

"Err, I escorted him 'cause he doesn't know your house," Damien answered with a small grin. Aiden couldn't help but cringe.

"Know that he knows her house you can leave," Layla suggested. Damien walked to Layla, Looking at her eye to eye he spoke, "Why do you hate me so much Layla, Is it because I broke your little unstable heart." Saying that he sneered.

Aurora got confused trying to process what he just said. They had been in a relationship before.

"Look, it's not the time to do your love drama."Xavier spoke." And who told you I was involved."Damien replied breaking the staring contest they seemed to be playing.

"Thank you for visiting, both of you."Aurora showed her gratitude, you can get going now."Aurora told both of them.

"And Oh, before I forget, here are your clothes you forgot at my place."Damien returned it as he winked at Layla who had a shocked face.

"Bye Layla! And sorry" Xavier greeted before leaving.

"Aurora, it's time for you to explain a lot."
