Downpour

42 13 1

When heaven's body starts to cry,
Shady clouds varnish the light.
Building castles in the skies
Every drop full of surprise,

The walls of Jericho will break
Once it hits the ground
Its amity with lifeless bound
Whisky hue of brown, after rain upon the ground,

What the rain gave back to us?
Shimmer from above,
Every drizzle in the sand
Wrote a memory with our hands,

Every step we take on mud,
Gave life that makes us weak.
But in you, I found my peace.
Forging canopies of our dreams.
