Searching for your pale blonde-haired friend is proving to be difficult. Even after check marking through the overly long list of possible locations he could be hiding at (which includes deep underwater), your search is leading to a futile outcome. The once clear and blue sky is now a gradual transition of dusky pinks and oranges; it seems you'll have to stop your search for today.

As you make your way back to the comfort of your home, you contemplate over what ultimately led to his disappearance.

You two had just finished diving together as usual. While he was taking off his helmet, you told him you had something important you wanted to say, which caused an immediate panicked and anxious reaction from the male. Although you attempted to assure him that it's nothing bad, he was still worried regardless and made some kind of typical excuse before dashing away.

You figured it was best to give Freminet some space to calm down, but it seems even a couple hours of privacy aren't enough. And so you went out to find him, going from the fluttering treetops up above to the deepest waters down below, only to come up with nothing—no traces of him were left behind.

Heaving a jaded sigh, you trudge into the cozy place and shake your head as a way to get rid of your immense worries. Surely he's safe and sound somewhere. You'll try again tomorrow.

Upon feeling the warmth of the sun's rays permeating into the room, you don't hesitate to jump out of bed, your legs getting tangled by the large blanket, as you stumble out the bedroom to get ready for the exhausting day of more searching.

While brushing your teeth, your eyes sweep down the list of crossed out places. Realization dawns on your face. Now that you think about it, you don't even know where your friend lives at. In fact, he always fidgeted and avoided your curious questions on his residence.

The toothbrush hangs from the side of your mouth. "Well, hopefully he won't be hiding out there for the whole day." You look through the list again and end up focusing on an area where Freminet often goes to as it is serene, secluded, and has a nearby water source to jump into whenever he needs it.

For some reason, your senses are telling you to check this place first, and so you do.

When you arrive, you're disappointed to see the sandy shore empty, save for the few crabs roaming around. You can't help the sigh escaping your lips as you approach closer, and much to your surprise, there's a familiar figure standing there, a diving helmet in his hands...

"Freminet!" you call out in a mixture of excitement, relief, and annoyance right before tackling him to the sand, gripping onto him like a clingy koala. Your attention is solely on him, ignoring the rolling helmet that has flown out his hands.

The male's eyes widen as he stares up at the sky, his face flushed with parted lips. "(Y/N)... what... what are you doing here...?" he asks slowly after some time of silence. He averts his gaze, lips pressed together.

You frown and slightly hold yourself up by the arms, though your body is still against his. "I've been trying to look for you since yesterday after you ran away!"

"Oh... I'm sorry for leaving so abruptly..."

"I was worried about you, you know. I didn't mean to make you upse—"

He interrupts you, "I wasn't upset at you."

Freminet, after some hesitation, turns to meet your surprised expression. His light blue gaze flickers off to the side again, because looking at you at such a proximity is making his heart flutter. Surely you can feel his reaction right now with the way your body is pressed against him. Can you count the freckles on his skin? Sense the heat radiating off his flushed face?

The way you're staring into his eyes, seemingly trying to discover his darkest secrets that he have kept hidden away in the deepest oceans, is overwhelming him with anxiety. His mouth gets dry, and he swallows nervously.

"(Y/N)—"

"Freminet, I like you."
