Challenges

The first event has just started, and Todoroki swept the competition.  

Present Mic: "THE FIRST ROUND'S OBSTACLE COURSE IS UNDERWAY! AND THE GOAL IS TO RUN ONE LAP ACROUND THIS SPECIAL-MADE STADIUM'S OUTER RING!! THE RULES ARE SIMPLE - AND SAVAGE! ASIDE FROM LEAVING THE COURSE, THIS IS A BONA FIDE "CHICKEN RACE" WHERE ANYTHING GOES!! THE CAMERABOTS INSTALLED IN EACH AREA CAN BARELY CONTAIN THEIR EXCITMENT!"

Aizawa: "You don't really need me here, do you?" 

In the first phase of the obstacle course people were spectacle to move on. 

???: "OH MY GOD, SOMEONE IS UNDER THERE!!"

???: "IS HE... DEAD!? CAN PEOPLE DIE DURING THE SPORTS FESTIVAL!!?"

Everyone was surprised when a red head boy emerged from the ruble.  

Kirishima: "LIKE I'D DIE!!"

Present Mic: "1-A'S KIRISHIMA GOT CRUSHED!!"

Kirishima: "I swear to god, Todoroki! You timed it just the right moment, too! What if it hadn't been me? Someone could have died!!" 

Kirishima Ejirou Quirk: Hardening. He can harden has body into a rigid armor! It's both the ultimate shield and the ultimate spear!

Rumbling can be heard and a guy made of silver pooped out of the ruble. 

Silver guy: "Class-A really is nothing but a flock of obnoxious brats...! WHAT IF IT HADN'T BEEN ME? SOMEONE COULD HAVE DIED!!"

Kirishima: "You're the dude from Class-B!!" 

Present Mic: "CLASS-B'S TETSUTETSU ALSO GOT CRUSHED!! WE LOVE YOU MAN!!" 

Tetsutesu Tetsutesu Quirk: Steel. His body can become like steel! It's both the ultimate shield and the ultimate spear!

Y/n: 'So that's his name. Wait.... isn't his quirk basically the same as Kirishima.... Poor guy.'

As if was on que, Kirishima ran and there was a small tear on his face. Y/n was traveling in a jog speed, the shark girl didn't want to waste almost all of her energy until the main event. She flew over robots, tight ropes, until she was at a landmine. Y/n saw the pink explosion happening if someone stepped on them, she also saw Midoriya with a piece of a robot and was digging up land mines. The plan clicked into Y/n's mind, and she flew near the side of the grounds and went higher. Midoriya pulled out his plan, and a big explosion occurred and he was flying to finish line. Todoroki and Bakugo were neck and neck to the green head, but he used the land mines as a boost and against his opponents. And Midoriya got first place.

After a bit the top 42 made it through, and our shark girl got 18th place. Could she do better? Probably, but did she want to? To be honest, not really. The girl knew what was coming up and she was just patient for the events happening later. 

Midnight: "The 42 at the top have earned the right to advance!!! I'm sorry for the kids who failed but take heart! This festival's showstopper is still being prepared!! AND NOW FOR THE POST-PRELIMINARIES, THE FINAL SELECTION! FROM HERE ON OUT, EVEN THE PRESS CORPS WILL TEEM IN A WHITE HEAT OF EXCITEMENT, SO GO ALL OUT!!! NOW THEN ONTO TODAY'S HEART-POUNDING SECOND EVENT!! I ALREADY KNOW WHAT IT WILL BE, BUT THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME... WHAT COULD IT BE!!?  WELL, I'LL TELL YOU!" 

The 18+ hero fans to a screen that says "Human Cavalry Battle!"

Midnight: "Behold!!!"

Some of the competitors were sweating buckets while Y/n was thinking of a plan to "win" this event. 

Kaminari: "Human cavalry...!"

Asui: "But that's not a game that works with players playing as individuals. How will it work?"
