For the next few months, I cut down my workload to be with Clara and took care of our kids. Ivor helped me with the royal affairs since he had more time. Clara had her work passed to Rosie.

She was nearly fourth months pregnant, her stomach protruding underneath her clothes. We spent the days with the light routine and celebrated Ella and Ambrose turning two. They were running around at home as the craziest twins.

"I wanna see," Ella jumped as I looked through the website to purchase paint for the new nursery room.

I pushed my chair back and lifted her onto my thighs. She sat there, taking her plastic bottle when I handed it to her. She pointed at the different colours, and I nodded, kissing the back of her head when she named the right ones.

I ordered some neutral colours and carried Ella out of the room. Clara finished making lunch for us, and she settled Ambrose beside her. Since Damien and Xander went to school, the four of us would be at home. It was less of a fucking headache without two boys stirring more shit.

"In two years, we will be celebrating our ten years anniversary," Clara remarked, savouring the lasagna on her fork. "I'm so happy that we've came so far. We need to have a huge celebration as a memory for the both of us."

"What do you want?" I questioned.

"I want to spend the day with only you. I want to head back to where we first met. I want to do a memory lane."

Our tenth anniversary was in two years. We still had some time, but I fucking remembered what she told me. It was going to be exactly what she wanted for our anniversary. By then, our little one would be here.

Ella and Ambrose went to watch TV after we finished eating lunch. Clara and I were in the new nursery room, looking around while I set some boxes aside. We had a plan to wait until we knew the gender before we would start working on the room.

"I can't wait until our baby comes to our world," she rested back against my chest as I wrapped my arms around her waist, my hand on her stomach.

"Six more months," I muttered against her shoulder.

Clara and I took Ambrose and Ella out to the backyard to let them play. They were running around, screaming as they chased each other. Clara sat down on the grass with me, and we talked about the past memories, almost as if we were running down the lane again to see what we had been through.

"Do you think that you came to save me that night was because of our link from the past?" She wondered. "The Jace instinct came to find Brianna."

"You believe that we have a previous life?" I asked back.

"I believe that we were destined to be. I don't know if we had a life in the past, but if we did, we are happier than we were then. You gave me the world, and I think I'm lucky that we made it to the end as a couple."

I paused for a moment, and I wrapped my arm around her shoulders, kissing her forehead. If Jace and Brianna were linked with us, then I only fucking took Clara as the positive outcome. I didn't care about anything else that Jace did.

"Why didn't you divorce with me when I married Maisie?" I questioned.

Clara took a deep breath then spoke. "Because I love you too much to leave you. I knew that if I left you and our marriage, the pain would be twice as worse. I knew that it hurt, but I rather deal with that pain than the pain I would have without you."

I dipped my head down, staring over at Clara as we met gaze. I bit the tip of my tongue, holding back the lump growing in my throat. She was all I could ever had, but I used to once deny her love for me. I ignored everything from what she said because the hatred overtook my entire body.
