Johnson
"Well, thanks for choosing sides." Jack huffed as I entered back into our room.
Cade, Beau, Camila, and I all had a sleepover in Cade and Beau's room.
Today we are going back on the bus to our next stop.
Right now I was more focused on getting my bag packed than dealing with hungover Gilinsky.
"I said thanks for choosing sides!" Gilinsky said louder than the first time.
"You're welcome!" I said at the same volume as he just did, mocking him.
"You know, I don't know what you see in her. She's a complete pity party, wanting to get screwed."
"I don't know what you see in her, when you're a pretty shitty person and she's the nicest girl you'll ever meet. Can't believe you thought you'd get a chance with her." I huffed, chuckling.
I didn't bother making eye contact, I just kept throwing what was mine into my duffel bag.
"She wanted to get with me." Jack jammed his finger into his chest.
I rolled my eyes, "Says the one who wouldn't shut the fuck up about her two days ago, and who went out to breakfast with her yesterday, and the one who told me you couldn't admit to me you didn't feel anything for her. Fucking asshole." I said the last words, looking in his eyes.
He was surprised I'd say something like that, especially when I knew he was listening.
"You're the asshole, choosing some girl you met a couple weeks ago over your best friend since kindergarten."
"Yeah, well you turned into a fucking dick so." I shrugged grabbing my things from the bathroom.
He was just following me around the room, quite funny actually.
"You know, you always used to tell me that I should always be myself and all that bullshit and when I am myself you all turn into ass wipes and judge me."
I snapped my head in his direction. He can't be serious.
"This is not fucking you." I furrowed my eyebrows at him.
"Two years ago, you didn't do drugs, or drink heavily, or be an ass, you used to be a nice dude. Ever since Josie you can't fucking move on. I get it, you loved her but can't you just give someone a chance and let them in? You're scared at how Camila makes you feel cause you do want to feel anything. Ask yourself this, would Josie be proud of who you are?"
Jack clenched his jaw.
"Don't talk about her Johnson. You know it's not someone to fucking use as some thing to-to compare and to blame me for how I act. You don't know my feelings at all actually, so shut the fuck up and mind your own damn business."
He pushed past me and grabbed his duffel bag.
"It's been almost three years, fucking move on!" I yelled.
"How can I move on when she was the first one I loved?" He snapped.
"You fall in love again, but you can't when you keep being a dick to Camila, a girl who won't just fucking give up on you. You know, you're honestly a fucking idiot for not realizing what's right in front of you," I continued, slinging my duffel bag over my shoulder.
"God, she-she got her ass beat and you didn't do shit. But Ya know who did? Cade. You're loosing her Jack, all because of your dumb ass actions."
And with that, I walked out.
