jessica capshaw x y/n one shots

a/n most of these are going to be Jessica and Arizona one shots, but if you want to request another one of Jessica's characters feel free and I might do it  :)

so this is based off the Greys Anatomy Benefit that they did when they sang the songs for the musical episode (unpopular opinion but I LOVED that episode) so yeah here we go...

y/n pov:
We were waiting, in the wings of this massive stage, for the show to start. We are singing the songs for our upcoming musical episode on Greys Anatomy!! i'm so excited. I'm here with, Sara, Justin, Sarah, Kevin, Kim, Chandra, James and my girlfriend Jessica. Jess is heavily pregnant with our second child, our firstborn Luke is 2 and our second born is going to be a girl! we are so excited for our little family to keep growing.

Being so heavily pregnant, Jess' back hurts sometimes when she has to stand for a long period of time, so I usually wrap my arm closest to her around her waist, my arm going behind her back and rub her belly on the farthest side from me(if that makes sense)

"are you guys excited?" Sara came over and asked me, Jess and Justin. "of course! little nervous tho" Jess smiled, with her usual bubbly smile. "same here" me and Justin said in sync, which made the four of us laugh, which then caused the people backstage to shush us, making us want to laugh more. "we are on soon, I just asked" Kim said walking over to our little group. "yay!" I exclaimed, clearly too loud as I got shushed by a member of backstage. "your on, go on following in a single file line, and stand where we rehearsed guys" The manager came over and said, James went in first since he was on the far side of the stage with a mic to himself, then Justin with a mic to himself, then Kevin, he had a mic to himself too, then Sara who again, had a mic to herself. Then Jessica walked on and stood behind a mic, then I went on and stood next to her, and then Kim came on and stood on the other side of me, us 3 were sharing a mic, then Sarah came on, followed by Chandra, since the two were sharing a mic.

The crowd screamed as everyone walked on, which is always comforting, rather than it being silence, which is just awkward. "our first song is one i'm sure you could all guess we would sing" Justin starts. the crowd grew into chatter trying to think of the song. "this is 'how to save a life'" He finished, smiling.

we sang that song and it went so well, everyone sang great, and the crowd was really into it. The next song was 'running on sunshine' which Chandra introduced. This one is one of my personal favourites from the episode. After that song, it was my song!

"the next song is 'Breathe 2Am' (I know Lexi usually sings that but it's fine) here we go" I smiled and the crowd listened and then clapped once I had finished talking. I began singing and I could see the cast smiling and silently cheering me on. Once I had finished I turned to look at Jess beside me and she had the biggest smile on her face. "you were so good" she whispered in my ear. "thanks love" I whispered into her ear.

We did a few more songs, then the final song was 'The Story' which sara sang, and it was beautiful. Once she had finished the crowd was open to a q&a. Justin was answering a question about Alex's character development when I looked at Jess, she looked like she was uncomfortable. I whispered to her, "is it your back?" she hummed sadly in response, trying to keep a smile on her face, but I could tell she was in pain, so I wrapped my arm around the side of her and rubbed her belly as I usually do and suddenly the crowd went ballistic. I looked around to see what had happened, but they were screaming because of me putting my hand around Jess. This made all of the cast laugh together and I pulled a mic up and said "sorry Justin carry on" while laughing.

Jess then rested her head on my shoulder, making the crowd scream again. poor Justin was just trying to answer this question. "that was me this time, sorry Justin" Jess laughed. He was fine with it he was laughing just as much as we were.

Once the q&a was over we went off stage and Jess just sat straight on the floor. "my back has never hurt so much in my entire life" she complained. I sat beside her and waited with her until she wanted to get up and head for the dressing room to get ready to leave.

after 10 minutes we got up but Jess stumbled a bit so I just decided to carry her bridal style to the dressing room, all of the cast was howling when we went in. I then sat Jess down on the sofa and she was giggling so much. "I love you" she said pouting her lips out for a kiss. "and I love you" I said giving her the quick kiss she wanted.
