y/n pov:
I waited for the babysitter to turn up, as I had a date tonight with a girl I met on a dating app, when the phone rang, it was the babysitter. I picked it up "hi Ashley, are you on your way?" I asked. "hi sorry, family emergency" she said. "please no Ashley, I need you to look after her tonight-" she cut me off. "i'm so sorry" she sighed, then hung up. I turned to my 3 year old daughter Alexandra. "what's wrong mommy?" she asked, picking up one of her dolls. "nothing Alex baby, mommy isn't going out anymore" I smiled, then went to ring my date who would be picking me up soon, she didn't answer. The door bell then rung, oh no.

I opened the door and it was the beautiful girl from the app. "hi Jessica" I smiled at her. "hi y/n, ready?" she asked, smiling at me. She looked gorgeous, she had jeans and a long black sleeve top on, with her hair curled. "I can't go out tonight sorry, i'm uh, sick" I pretended to cough, she looked confused. "sick?" she tried to clarify. "very" I nodded. "mommy, can you get me some juice please?" Alex asked behind me. shit. Jessica raised an eyebrow, and reached her head over mine, since she is taller than me. she then moved the door a little and she could see Alex on the sofa.

"I was gonna tell you" I giggled, awkwardly. "when?" she asked. "after a few dates when you had fallen madly in love with me and I could slowly bring it into conversation" I smiled, she laughed. she had a beautiful laugh.

"we can plan something for another night" I smiled at her, she shook her head. "how about we get food ordered in, and watch a movie?" She suggested. "oh no you don't have to do that" I said. "no no, I want to" she smiled. I then opened the door wider so she could come in, which she did, then I shut the door after.

"hi sweetheart what's your name?" she asked Alex. "Alex!" she smiled, with her two front teeth missing. "well hello Alex, i'm Jess" she gave her a high five. "what can I get you to drink Jessica?" I asked her. "what do you have?" she smiled, and followed me into the kitchen. "wine?" I offered. "I will never say no to a glass of white wine" she giggled. "same here" I smiled, and poured us both a glass of wine. we sat on the stools, when I heard Alex shout mommy. "2 seconds sorry" I quickly jumped up, went into the living room then picked up Alex and brought her to the kitchen and sat her down with some toys, got her a juice carton then went back to Jessica.

"so, what do you do for work?" she asked me. "well I work part time at a pharmacy, you?" I asked back. "I'm an actress" she smiled. "ah cool" I then took a sip of my wine. "I haven't done this in a while so i'm not quite sure what to ask" I laughed. "same here" she giggled. "what would you to order in?" I asked Jessica. "I don't mind, you?" she asked me. "pizza!! pizza!" Alex ran over and climbed into my lap. "I love pizza!" Jessica smiled at her. "okay i'll order some pizza" I smiled, putting Alex down. "can we order from the same place daddy orders from?" she asked. "I don't know where that is baby" I smiled awkwardly. "ask daddy" she ran back over to her toys. "I will not be asking daddy" I said taking a drink of my wine. "you speak to her dad?" Jessica asked me. "only when he randomly decides to want to see his daughter" I sighed. "oh" she smiled sympathetically. "but this is not a time to talk about him, this is to talk about, you and me" I smiled.

"there's a you and me?" she asked, a chocked a little bit on my wine. "well, hopefully" I giggled, she did too.
