I walked into the hospital, my 3 year old daughter on my hip and I walked up to the reception. "hi, I called up for an appointment this morning, my daughter is sick" I said to the receptionist, as I rubbed my daughter's back. "your daughter's name?" she asked. "Valentina Karev" I told her. "mommy, my head hurts more" Valentina said hugging into me. "I know baby girl" I kissed her head. "ah yes, Dr Robbins will be with you shortly, just walk up to the 4th floor, which is the Peds floor" the lady smiled. I walked to the elevator, and pressed the 4th floor button.

We got to the 4th floor and I walked over to the waiting area, I sat down putting Valentina in the seat beside me. I pulled out my phone just about to message my brother, when we got called "Valentina Karev? wait, Tina?" I heard a familiar voice. I looked up, it was Jo, my brother's girlfriend! "Jo?" I asked picking up Valentina, walking over to her. "I was just about to message Alex telling him I was here" I told her. "what's up with Tina?" she asked. "she was sick this morning, and has had an aching pain in her head" I explained. "well come on in and Dr Robbins can take a look" Jo smiled, I walked into the room and my eyes met with a gorgeous blonde woman.

"you must be y/n, and you must be Valentina!" Dr Robbins guessed from reading the chart. "yep" Valentina said not in her usual perky tone. "can you sit down on this bed for me please Valentina" Dr Robbins asked. I put her onto the bed, and sat beside her. "headaches?" Dr Robbins asked me, but I didn't answer I was just admiring her. "y/n" Jo tapped me on the shoulder. "oh sorry, yeah, she complained about a pain in her head last night, then she was sick this morning, and has had a headache since" I told the hot doctor. "oh, i'm just gonna press on your stomach to see if it's an internal injury, okay sweetheart?" Dr Robbins smiled at my daughter, with a beautiful smile.

She pressed on different parts of her stomach, and she was fine. "okay now i'm going to do the same on your head, tell me if it hurts" Dr Robbins explained then pressed on Valentina's head, to which Valentina moved away and began to cry. "it hurts" she said.

"Dr Wilson, could you page neuro down here please" Dr Robbins said, then Jo walked out. "is Tina okay?" I asked worried. "internally she's perfect, we just want neuro to get a check to see about the headaches" Dr Robbins smiled. "mommy, can we see uncle Alex?" Valentina asked. "we can soon" I held my daughter's tiny hand. "no way, you are y/n Karev!" Dr Robbins suddenly exclaimed. "yeah?" I asked confused. "I work with your brother, he always talks about you" she smiled at me. "he does?" I asked. "yeah, and he's always trying to set you up with different girls in the hospital" she giggled. "he does not" my jaw dropped. "he does, he always says how much he loves his niece Tina" Dr Robbins smiled.

"it's nice to finally put a face to the name" Dr Robbins shook my hand. "I'm Arizona" she smiled. "nice to meet you Arizona, and I now might have to talk to my brother about how much he talks about my love life at work" I laughed. "he matched you with everyone" Arizona giggled. "everyone?" I asked. "even me" She kept giggling. "I wouldn't complain about that" I smiled, her cheeks grew red, she was blushing.

Jo then came back in with a dark haired girl. "hi, I'm Dr Shepherd" she introduced herself. She then started doing a neuro exam on Valentina. I just looked at Dr Robbins the whole time, admiring her gorgeous blonde hair, which she has curled, how her dimples showed when she smiled and just how sweet she was. "so i'm going to need to take her for a head CT, just to be sure, this is nothing to worry about it's just a little scan" Dr Shepherd told me, I did the opposite of what she said, I began to worry.

"can I go with you for the CT?" I asked. "we don't allow anyone else when doing a head CT, i'm afraid, but we will be as quick as we can" Dr Shepherd smiled. "okay" I sighed. I kissed Valentina on the head, "you do what the nice doctors tell you to, okay Tina?" I asked her. "yep mommy" she put a small smile on her face, clearly in pain. I then left the room, and sat in the waiting room worrying of every bad outcome. When a hot blonde walked over. "Dr Robbins, is Tina okay?" I asked. "they just took her in for the head CT now, she will be 30 mins tops depending on how busy CT is" Arizona smiled, sitting next to me.

"I just thought I would sit with you while you wait" She said. "oh you don't have to do that, i'm sure you have patients to be looking after" I turned to look at her. "no I want to stay here" she smiled, we sat in a comfortable silence, until Dr Robbins spoke. "I don't mean to intrude but is Valentina's father not with you, since she's sick?" she asked. "oh he moves a lot, barley ever visits her" I started. "he was my best friend, I have always liked girls, but wanted a baby, and he was always alone and wanted a child" I explained. "so we decided to do IVF, and for the first year he was great, until he met his new girlfriend, and started travelling, now her messages me occasionally about Tina, she hasn't seen him for 8 months" I sighed. "but she has you" Arizona put her hand on my shoulder. "yeah, and I have her, that's all I need" I smiled.

"but i'm totally open to a hot blonde doctor, when she isn't my daughter's doctor" I grinned. "too soon?" I giggled. "probably" she laughed. "you should have called!!" I heard a familiar male voice say from behind me. "Alex.." I started but stood in front of me and cut me off. "is she okay?!" He exclaimed. "shes just gone in for a head CT" I told him. "a head CT?!" I raised his voice. "Alex, they're just double checking something, we don't know if there is anything to worry about" Arizona said beside me, putting her hand on my thigh. I went bright red, and Alex noticed, he smirked at me. "perfect match, i'm great at what I do" Alex laughed, walking away.

"he's such a dick" I laughed. "he's like that at home too?" Arizona laughed. "mommy!" Valentina ran onto my lap. "hey Tina bear" I said hugging her, then I looked up at Dr Shepherd. "clean CT, I gave her some prescribed antibiotics, to try help with the headaches, but she seems to be all good" She smiled. "thank you so much" I shook her hand. "cmon Tina, let's go home" I said standing up, Valentina in my arms. "thank you all for your help" I smiled at the two doctors.

"I'll walk out with you" Arizona smiled, as we started walking. "okay" I said. We walked to my car, I then buckled Valentina into her car seat. "thank you for your help today Arizona" I smiled. "now that i'm not your daughter's doctor, would you fancy a drink to Joe's with me sometime?" She asked, I blushed, but quickly agreed "sounds great" I smiled. "i'll get Alex to look after Tina" I said. "Uncle Alex!" Valentina clapped her hands. "okay, we'll here's my number, call me" Arizona smiled, handing me a piece of paper with numbers on it. "will do" I opened the drivers door open, and went home.
