After giving the Huge Materia over to Bugenhagen, Cid drives the Highwind to Rocket Town, but-

(Y/N): You guys again?

Reno: Thought you'd be here.

Yang: Can't you j-

Rude: We're not here to fight.

(Y/N): Bring it on! You gu- What?!

Elena: Everyone in Shinra is kind of losing it now. With the Weapon attacking, and Meteor, it's crazy.

Reno: So, we're done with Shinra.

(Y/N): Then why are you-

Reno: To tell you, you better get off your sorry asses and save the world!

Cid: HEY! THAT'S WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO! Now let's go!

Turks: Hey! Don't die!/Best of luck!/We're rooting for you.

(Y/N): Thanks!

You guys enter the Rocket!

Cid: Here we go! This is it! There are generations of knowledge and wisdom inside the Materia. We're gonna borrow their powers and save the planet from Sephiroth. There's no way that we can lose the Huge Materia. You understand that, right? Yeah, I understand. I understand that Materia is precious, and I also understand what you're thinking. But listen. I don't give a rat's ass whether it's science or magical power. I guess if I had to choose, I'd rather put my money on the power of science. Humans who used to only roam around on the ground are able to fly now! And finally, we're about to go into outer space. Science is a "Power" created and developed by humans. And science just might be what saves this planet. I was able to earn my living thanks to science. So to me, there's nothing greater! Here we go!!

(Y/N): Well, you're finally going to space! How does it feel?

Cid: I FUCKING LOVE IT!!

The rocket took off straight into space!

Ruby: Hey! Look! There's the planet!

Cid: HA!! HAHAHAHAHAHA! I DID IT!! And we're headed right for Meteor!

Cloud: You're seriously not going to crash us into it; are you?

Cid: Of course not! We're gonna bail! There's an escape pod around here!

Ruby: What about the Huge Materia?

Cid: It should be in a lock somewhere.

Soon...

Blake: It looks like it needs a passcode.

Ruby: Uh ... AAAAAAAA?

Computer: Access denied.

Ruby: AAAAAA ... C?

Computer: Access denied.

(Y/N): Enough guessing! Space!

Computer: Access approved.

But suddenly-

Cid: AAAAAGH!

What sounded like a thud happened.

Everyone: CID!

A piece of debris landed on his leg.

(Y/N): Cid! Hang on!

Cid: No! Just go! Don't worry about-

Shera: CID!

Cid: Shera! You idiot! What are y-

Shera: Enough of that crap! I'm making sure you come back to tell about it! I told you about the complications!

Cid: Yeah. You were right. Damn it, this old man really has to admit it when he's wrong.

You guys got the debris off of Cid, and then hurried to the escape pod!

Cid: I finally did it.

The Rocket impacted Meteor, but only did a brig amount of damage.

Meanwhile...

Rufus: Fire the Junod Cannon! We're taking that barrier out and the Weapon!

The Cannon fired, and the Diamond Weapon was pierced, and the barrier to the Crater was shattered! But-

Rufus: So, I guess I'm coming. Father.

Rufus closed his eyes as a bunch of energy fire from the Weapon launched towards him.

The office exploded, and Rufus was gone.
