He starts to talk to himself.

Dromarch falls asleep.
But then, the ship stops moving.
Mythra: Did the ship just stop moving?
Vivian: Seems like it.
Pa-Patch: Master Flavio! Awful sorry to interrupt that wicked story... But the ship's stopped...

But then a flaming spirit appeared behind him.
Pa-Patch: Yeah, yeah, I'm workin' on it! Just wait a Goomba-stompin' moment, ya scallywags...
But the spirit kept on bugging him.
Pa-Patch: OY! Quit shovin', eh?!? I'm workin' over 'eere! I said QUIT SHOVIN'!!
He turns around and sees the ghost.
Pa-Patch: Uh...AARGH!
He hurriedly climbs down from the crow's nest!
Pa-Patch: ...Th-Th-They're 'ere!
Flavio: What is this ruckus, now? Who is here? Will someone tell me what is going on?
(Y/N): Yeah, what's-
???: OOOOOOOOOOO!
Over 100 billion flaming spirits emerged!
Ruby: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! GHOSTS!!
Nia: THERE'S SO MANY!!
Dromarch: What's all of th- WHAT?!
