After a few concerts it came time for the NHL combine. From January to April Bella and her agent had talked about the girl going into the NHL, and she had some teams that were interested in her. Vancouver, Chicago, New Jersey, and Buffalo.

Vancouver got the 11th pick, and she would love to play with her brother. Her and Quinn had gotten closer these past few months. Chicago got the first pick, and everyone knew they would be picking Connor, they also had the 19th pick. According to her agent, Bella wouldn't be making it to the 19th pick.

New Jersey wanted to do some trading to get a high pick but that most likely would happen, and playing with Jack and Luke would be so cool. She also knew several of the guys on that team so it wouldn't be weird. Buffalo was so out of the blue that when Bella found out she was actually confused. Buffalo was the 4th and 13th pick.

Bella would be happy with any of those teams, and she was honestly grateful to even be looked at. The combine was basically a test. It tested physical strength and speed.

Bella and her agent decided to go to the combine, and she had met a few other of the draftees. She had already known Adam Fantilli, who she thought would be going second.

The standing height test was just to measure how tall a prospect was, Bella stood at a surprising 5' 7". Her horizontal jump was 73" which is about 6' 4". That is above average for a female, according to research.

Bella didn't think she would do well with the bench press but she actually did really well. Bella had finished her testing and then talked with some people before getting interviewed.

Once she was done she waited for Connor before the two went to get food. The hot, humid air was not only extremely uncomfortable but also extremely annoying.

Bella had taken a shower, and then got dressed and did her hair, but her hair was becoming frizzy from the humidity. With Bella if her hair was having a bad day, she was having a bad day.

Bella had two braids from the top of her head, but let the bottom half of her hair down and was straightened. Due to the fact Bella's hair wasn't cooperating, Bella had been in a bad mood because of it.

"Hi." Bella said getting into Connors car and closing the door, hard. Not slamming the door, but hard.

"Hi, you're pretty."

Bella had a small smile on her face that quickly went away, and muttered a 'thanks'.

"What's wrong?" Connor asked as he began driving to a restaurant for the two to eat at.

"Rough few days, I guess."

"Want to talk about it?" Connor asked focusing on the road, turning his head to look at Bella every once in a while.

"Well i'm getting ready earlier, and my hair is being a bitch."

"It's looks perfect though."

"It doesn't count from you." Bella said looking at the boy.

"Why?"

"Because you're a guy, and my boyfriend, so..."

"But you look nice." Connor said to her as they kept driving.

"Shut up."

"Okay."

sorry i took so long and this chapter is short i don't know what to write.

Since i really have nothing to do other than the draft, i think i am going to write that then write like, the school year and Connors first year in the NHL.

So time jump happening soon 🔜
