49. street hockey

          It was the summer of 2027 and it was no longer just Quinn, Jack, Luke and Bella. Quinn had a wife and two daughters, Jack had a fiancée, and Luke was engaged to Chloe, and Bella had a boyfriend. The did their annual street hockey game with just the four of them.

It was 11 in the morning when they put on their roller skates and brought out the a nets and got their sticks. The rest of the family was inside doing something. The teams were always the same, Quinn and Bella vs Luke and Jack. Luke and Jacks whole game plan was for Jack to hold Bella and Luke to play Quinn.

It usually worked.

But this year Bella and Quinn went in with a game plan, determined to win. This year the losers had to do whatever the winners wanted them to do for a whole week. So Bella and Quinn did not want to lose.

The game started and Bella and Quinn got an early lead. The game had been going on for a while and some of the others came out to watch them. It was now tied and Bella had the street hockey puck on her stick. They were playing posts so Bella pretended to shoot it at Jack who was in front of her so he would flinch and move, which he did.

Bella then took a step around him and his the post, so her and Quinn won. Jack and Luke groaned and went to the grass to lay down. Bella and Quinn hugged each other then went over to Jack and Luke.

"You know, I could use some water. Quinn?" Bella asked with a smile on her face.

"I could too. Jack? Luke? Wanna get it for us?" Quinn asked. The two sighed and to get water mumbling things like, 'this is stupid'.

"I'm so glad we won." Bella said as she took a seat in the grass next to Connor.

"Me too." Quinn said as he sat in the grass next to Hayden who was picking at the dandelions in the grass. She put one in Quinn's hair, and Megan ran over and jumped into Quinn's arms.

"Daddy, let's play!" Megan said as she grabbed her dad's hand and began walking g to get a stick. He asked Hayden if she wanted to play street hockey, but she said no. So while Quinn and Megan were playing hockey, Hayden went over to Bella and Connor.

Bella held out her arms and Hayden walked into them, Bella put Hayden on her lap and they watch Quinn play with Megan.

"Aunt Bella?" Bella hummed, "Can you help me tell daddy I want to play soccer."

"Of course I can. We should also tell your mommy, too." Bella said.

Hayden then left Bella and walked over to her sister and dad to play with them. Jack and Luke came back with water for everyone and they played another street hockey game. This time everyone played, and the didn't keep score.

Bella was glad the siblings had bought a house together, and a big one. There were still extra bedrooms, and more space but it was nice because everyone was together.

Connor had gotten the puck from Bella and Bella hit his foot with her stick so he fell. It wasn't like she hit his foot hard, but she got it at the right time. The street hockey game turned into a day long activity. The twins challenged their dad to a game and Jack and Luke helped the girls win.
