40. new to the Hughes family

          It was the end of summer and the August heat was here to stay for a few months. The family wasn't doing much, they were laying down outside playing in the pool or laying in chairs. Maya hadn't been feeling good at all so she was inside on the couch, taking it easy. Quinn called her OB and she said to go in bed rest for a few days.

Quinn was nervous that something was wrong, so he had stayed by Maya and had their bags packed in case they needed to go. Bella walked in the house and saw Maya lying down, and Quinn pacing.

"Hey, Maya. How you feeling?"

Maya just shook her head. Bella suggested Quinn take a little break and she would stay with Maya. The two had been sitting there for a minute when Maya felt agonizing pain, and made a pained face.

"Maya? Maya? What's wrong?"

"Get Quinn, and tell him to meet me at the car." Maya said.

"What- Quinn! Maya, no, I'm helping you." Bella told the red head.

Quinn ran in and looked at the two. He saw Maya's stated and grabbed their bags and weren't to the car. Quinn and Maya got in, Bella went back to tell everyone the two went to the hospital, and they all got into cars and drove to the hospital to see them.

When they got there they saw Quinn sitting in the waiting room. They walked up to him, Bella leading everyone.

          "Quinn?" Bella said and Quinn shot his eyes up from the floor and saw his family. He stood up and hugged Bella as a few tears slipped from his eyes.

          "She's going to be okay. So's the baby." Jack said hugging his brother.

          "Yeah. She's in surgery now. They-uh, They're doing a c-section, then will fix whatever's wrong with Maya." Quinn said, voice shaking.

          "Hey, maybe you should go on a walk. Take a little break." Ellen suggested and Quinn shook his head.

          "Quinn, It might be a good-"

          "I'm not leaving."

          "We're not saying to leave, just walk around. I'll go with you." Bella said as she stood up and looked at Quinn. He debated for a moment before standing up and following his sister.

          "She's going to be okay, right?" Quinn asked once he stopped in a different hallway.

          "Yeah. Of course she is. Maya's strong, she'll make it." Bella said and they decided to walk back.

          The doctors walked out a few hours later. The told everyone that Maya made it, and the she's going to wake up soon. Quinn had gone to see Maya first. Maya had woken up and the two were discussing names.

          The doctors suggested that only two visitors at a time. So they went to get Bella first. Quinn walked to get her with a smile on his face. He showed Bella to Maya's room and Bella saw two babies in Mayas arms. Bella turned to Quinn and hit him on the arm.

          "You didn't tell me you were having twins." Bella scolded.

          "Surprise?"

          "Well, that's not the only surprise. Come here." Maya said. Maya handed one of the babies she was holding to Bella. Some more family slowly made their way into the room, all holding a baby at some point.

          "What are their names?" Ellen asked.

          Quinn and Maya looked at each other and smiled. Quinn whispered something in his mother's ear, and she took her phone out. Bella was handed one baby, Jack had the other.
