Arranged Marriage To A Smart Jock ?!

Chapter 1. "Assembly"

Josh's P.O.V

             

That was such a lame assembly, and I was in it. Today is our winter sports assembly, theres five different sports [I think] , but im only interested in one. Soccer. But, this assembly is boring as hell and I can tell by looking around at my fellow students that im not the only one bored here.

My thoughts cut off when I heard the best voice I had ever heard in my life. The voice belonged to an angel. Two girls with glasses and weird clothing were on stage singing the star spangled banner and they were doing a hell of a good job singing it! That voice... man it was beautiful.

Each of the girls sang their own part of there duet [It is a duet right? Im a jock - I don't know these things].  Then the whole choir joined in an began to sing in harmony with them.

 The choir didn't interest me though. It was that girl. Who was she? I was determined to find out.

 "Nando," I said addressing one of my team mates. "Who was that girl singing?"

 Nando frowned. "Probaly just a stupid nerd girl." He replied.

 I chuckled nervously, but thankfully Nando didn't seem to notice. "Yeah, stupid nerd girls."

 From the corner of my eye I saw two girls trying to gain my attention, I didn't care about them so I just ignored them. I needed to know who that girl was.

  Alot of people started sitting down, and I realised it wasn't some sports team it was the choir. Is that girl there? I never got to turn around, but I tuned into what the people were saying behind me.

    "Dude," one of them said. "I think im going to have a massive heart attack."

   "Girl you tripping? You owned it up there! You were freak-ing ah-maze-ing. You say you have stage fright? Nah ah, I think you just overcame your biggest fear."

 I sat there like a quiet little boy, and continued to listen. Finally, I had enough and decided to turn around and face them.

  "So whose the one who sang up there?" I asked.

"Uh we both did?" One of them replied in more of a questioning tone than an answering one.

  "I know that, " I rolled my eyes, " But who sang the biggest part? The solo thingy." I asked dumbly.

"That" She pointed to the girl who was looking down and said in a proud voice, "Would be Savannah here. "

 "Well Savannah, you did really well out there. Your really good at singing."

After a few seconds of silence I saw her friend give her a nudge. Savannah looked up and I stared into her beautiful green eyes. I drifted my attention away from them ad took in her other features. She was light skinned but not pale. She was a bit bronzed color.

"Thank you." Her eyes met mine and before I could stop myself I blurted, "Your eyes. There really pretty."

 She stared at me for a while. Your eyes there really pretty? Really Josh? Your an Idiot you had to go and say that didn't you? Ah stupid idiot.

 "Oh Um thanks." I didnt know what else to say so it just drifted into an awkward silence.

 "Josh, come on class starts in five and we're already running late. You better hurry  im not waiting for your dumb ass, " Yelled Nando from across the football field,then I see him running towards us and he looked very mad

"Alright! Im coming" I told him throwing my arms up in defeat.

"Hurry your ass up!" He shouted again.

"God, Im coming. See yah ladies." I winked at them

If they responded I didn't hear it because I was getting dragged across the football field by a very mad looking Nando.

 "Josh are you fucking stupid! What the hell are you doing talking to those fucking nerds?!" He growled.

"Calm down Man, don't get your panties in a twist. I just wanted to know who that girl was thats all."

"Man your lucky I was the only one who saw you. Your popularity would have gone down fast. Nobody here talks to the nerds. Especially not us. Its major bad if we talk to one of them." He spoke about them like they where scum and I felt mad at him. Did he hear that girl? She had the voice of an angel!

"Nando Shut the fuck up. They where good and I just wanted to give them a compliment. Excuse me for being nice!" I snapped.

"Well, I don't want to see you talk to those nerds. Your popularity will be gone like that, " He snapped his fingers in front of my face.

"Yeah Whatever man." I told him irrated and walked off to class.

The rest of the day passed and I couldn't stop thinking about Savannah.,She seemed exotic with her green eyes and light but darkish colored skin. She wasn't skinny she was just right. Just amazing. Just Savannah.
