chapter 24- "Over the top with school spirit"

Savannah’s P.O.V

 

“Josh hurry up! We’re going to be late” I yelled at josh who was being a little girl and taking forever to get ready. I was at the bottom of the stairs by the door dressed and pressed ready to go to my game that we were having, we were playing against south high, home of the hawks and they were by far the hardest team in the whole region.

Last year our team went all the way to state and so did south high and we played against each other and they beat us 2-1, but that was just the girls soccer team, our boys soccer team tied against them, so it wasn’t so bad for them, but this year we had to beat them…

“ I’m coming, I’m coming!” josh said running down the stairs, I didn’t even have time to look at him because I was halfway to the car and he was barely locking the front door of the house

“What took you so lon-“I turned around to look at josh and I could not believe my eyes. Half of his face was painted red and the other white. He had pompoms in one hand and silly string and a horn on the other, and he also had posters tucked under his arm, he was dressed in my extra soccer shirt that said ‘Lockhart’, yeah josh ordered a special one made for me, well an extra one because he said that I wouldn’t be Johnson anymore I would have to be Lockhart from now on, if you get what I mean.

He had just gone over the top with school spirit I’ve never seen him this goofy before..

“You like?” he asked me with a goofy smile on his face

“ oh yeah, love it, I think you beat the cheerleaders in school spirit, that’s for sure, no worries I give you a ‘10’ “ I laughed getting in the car

“Hey this” he said pointing at his face “ took an hour to make, and plus I did this for you” he said pouting his lips and getting in the car

“You know I would kiss you, but you got stuff all over your face and your lips” I told him

“ will you just kiss me already?” he grabbed my face in his hands and just full out kissed me, when we finally both ran out of air he started the car and drove to school

“ sooo…who was your partner in crime this time?” I asked josh, he never did stuff alone, well not this kind of stuff

 We were at school and we were walking to the soccer field, when we saw Nina warming up by the benches, she turned around and saw us, she saw josh and burst out laughing, I couldn’t help but chuckle a little

“Oh she won’t be laughing when she sees Alex…and Zack” he said laughing

“I’m guessing they were you’re partners in crime then?” I asked him, these guys are really silly sometimes

“Yeah budddyyy!!!” he yelled and walked me to the benches where I was supposed to be stretching and warming up
