The tiny baby black pug snored happily in my arms. I literally fell in love with her the second I saw her. There were many other puppies and I wanted to take them all, but I figured with just one I would have a hard time convincing Josh to let her stay, let alone another 3. She was the first puppy I laid my eyes on and as soon as she saw Nina and I, her big eyes warmed my heart completely. I couldn't say no. You could say it was love at first sight?

How do I convince him to let her stay?

Josh did not look happy what so ever. His nostrils were flared, his arms crossed and I, along with the baby pug were being glared at. I don't thing angry is what Josh was, furious would be more like it.

"Loo-" Josh held a hand up to stop me from continuing. I tried to begin talking again but all he did was shush me. My eyes dropped to the floorboard, suddenly it was very interesting.

"How could you? I hate dogs and you know this. Was last night not enough proof of that?" he angrily stated. The worst part is that he started pacing around the room and that was never a good sign.

Oh would you look at that? The floorboards look so shiny.

Josh continued to pace in a circular motion, (making me dizzy might I add) and if possible he was looking angrier by the second.

He stopped pacing and looked at me. "Well? are you gonna say anything?"

I raised my hand.

His eyebrows raised. "Yes?" he said

I snuggled the pup closer to me. "Am I allowed to speak now?" I asked

Sighing he nodded his head

"Is this a bad time to ask what my surprise is?" I grinned.

Josh glared at me with all of his might. "Really?" My grin slowly disappearing

"Okay, noted. Bad timing" I continued. " I know what this looks like. Yes I had a feeling you weren't going to be happy about this beautiful puppy in my arms, but in her defense she's nothing like the dog from last night. She's been home a total of 3 hours and all she's done is sleep" I stated.

"I want her gone and I want her gone now Savannah" he said pointing to a sleeping pup in my arms

of course his statement didn't really shock me, If anything I was expecting something worse. "What? No Josh, she's not going anywhere" I said getting closer to him

"Savannah, Im warning you. Don't come any closer" He said taking big steps backwards. Of course when do I ever listen? Never is the answer.

He was eyeing the puppy like if it would detonate at any given second.

"Josh" I said stepping closer and closer to him. "She's harmless! Just look at that adorable face. Can we please just keep her? I promise you won't have to do anything. I will feed, bathe, and clean up after her."

He looked unsure, but not totally convinced. "You won't have to do anything. I promise. Plus the reason I never had animals in my house growing up was because dad was allergic. Hence the reason why I want one now." He was showing zero signs of empathy.

His hands transferred from his waist to his temple, I think I might be giving him a headache.

With closed eyes, and a very long sigh he finally looked at me. "Does it have a return policy?" He asked grimacing.

A gasp was heard before I realized it was me. "First of all its not an 'It', its a she. Second of all she's not an object that you can just return if you're not satisfied with it. She's a tiny human, and no she's not returnable." I said narrowing my eyes at him. I will not back down from this. I needed her in my life.
